I must be missing something about Physical.

Previously the only Dua song I really loved was Be The One, but I've been listening to Don't Start Now non stop. Physical just hasn't grabbed me yet.

You're not the only one. Sounds like a poor man's Halsey to me.

Halsey is an odd comparison considering she has never done synthwave before, the closest she has gotten to this is probably 3am off her last album (and Halsey is a poor mans Lorde anyway at best).

You could argue that maybe it sounds too similar to Blinding Lights by The Weeknd...

Either way I dont see how people dobt love the song, its full of hooks (Dont You Agree????...) and the production is great. It might not be immediately as catchy as the bassline in Dont Stop Now, and it might not be the most impressive lyrically, but neither was DSN so I dont see that as being a huge issue.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but have we considered Kendrick might not wanna perform in the dark or is too nervous, so will play the sunset slot underneath Radiohead?

I know this is in jest, so please take the following in the same spirit.

They headlined the festival before last, they're not touring this summer - they're not playing. But, honestly, radiohead fans on the internet... Whatever question you ask, the answer is always Radiohead. You ask, which is the best intro of all time, some radiohead fan will say a radiohead song! You ask, which is the best vocal performance of all time, some radiohead fan will say a radiohead song!

I was perusing another board recently and the question was, which acts have had lengthy careers without releasing a greatest hits - so people are answering AC/DC, Nine Inch Nails, even Coldplay and Muse now have surprisingly big back catalogues to have never released a best of... And then here comes the Radiohead fan! "Radiohead" even though they very much have released a 'best of', but his argument was, well the band didn't approve it, so it doesn't count! Radiohead fans! I ask you...

One Kiss went off at Mad Cool. So did most of the set tbh, was a nice change from the rock acts on that evening.

I honestly thought One Kiss would be her final song. Certified singalong banger.

When I first saw New Rules on spotify had a billion listens I was very confused as I liked One Kiss so much more but I'm not surprised she closes with it.

Just bring over Shakira and JLo to perform their Super Bowl set from last night. Doesn’t have to headline, anywhere will do!

I nodded off and woke up for the halftime show ..... Shakira played 2010 I believe :) ....

I saw hustlers yesterday and watched the super bowl performance back.

JLO would smash a Janet Jackson style slot. I wouldn’t be surprised to see her on the bill in the future either.

I think she’d be a great future booking.

J-Lo & Shakira.... mimed with the mic turned on occaisionally.

It was bobbins.

Yes it was. Cannot understand the praise for the halftime show. Well choreographed  but musically dreadful. As bad as the Maroon 5 and the Black Eyed Peas HT shows.

    • To be honest while it might not have been said people's Cup of tea, I've actually met people since who did chose Other stage instead because that's where their interest was.
    • Lets get the ball rolling then...  The dates are confirmed for 22nd-25th July. As for acts, the headliners recently seem to be a big solo 70s/80s name and then 2 MOTR crowd pleasers so worth seeing who starts being announced for places from the autumn  I had seen Sam Fender is reportedly doing outdoor shows next year so could see him as the act who ends up doing here, IoW and TRNSMT  Florence and the Machine would be an absolute dream but not sure if she'll be touring 2 years in a row  Id seen also George Ezra was spotted at the festival this year so I'm sure he'll shuffle his way in somehow!  Let the speculation begin...
    • Basement Jaxx 110 Billy Bragg 90 Chase & Status 150 MAX CMAT 150 MAX  Confidence Man 130 David Byrne 150 MAX Everything Everything 130  Faithless 65 Fatboy Slim 100 Four Tet 130  Garbage 130  GOAT 55 (-10) Greentea Peng 125  Joy Crookes 110  Kneecap 125 Lorde 150 MAX The Maccabees 120  Nile Rodgers & Chic 150 MAX The Prodigy 150 MAX Pulp 150 MAX RAYE 80 Richard Ashcroft 110  Scissor Sisters 110  Self Esteem 140  The Streets 100  Super Furry Animals 100 Underworld 150 MAX Wilco 20  Wolf Alice 150 MAX
    • Feels like Rush's structure is set up for days off after shows tbf. They have a night off after all 3 shows in London, and I'm assuming somebody else has snuck into the gaps and put in a show.
    • I'm bemused why Jaissle hasn't been confirmed yet. If he and his coaches are already there, surely the paperwork to send this through must be somewhat sorted and confirmation imminent, no?   Feel like clubs are soft on tapping up now as an industry, right? I swear most deals seem to be a case that personal terms are agreed beforehand. In an older life, this Bruno deal has a potential case imo given the use of intermediaries to plant a seed in Bruno's mind this was a good idea (much I'm prepared to accept last season's mess would likely have had Bruno doubting if he wanted to stay regardless) but the industry seems more forgiving of this stuff at present. Wind seems to be picking up that a deal is about to happen regardless. Shame as I'd have been more willing to accept a move to Real Madrid but it is what it is.   Would be nice if we could show some more balls with this stuff tbf. Feel like the owners are taking a strange lesson from Isak last year in that now, we just have to let everyone go at the first sign of trouble, even though other clubs in a similar boat to us are seemingly more willing to turn back and tell pursuers to f**k off.
