Will There Be A Glastonbury Festival in 2026?

There will not be a Glastonbury Festival in 2026. Glastonbury takes a break for a year every few years. This is known as a fallow year. It allows the ground of Worthy Farm - a working farm - to renew and recover. It also allows the festival to make essential changes and improvements to the site. In the two-year gap between 2025 and 2027, Emily Eavis has laready announced that a rewilding project will be underway where 30,000 trees will be planted. 

This all means that Glasto will be back in 2027, bigger and better than ever, and with improved eco credentails.

When Will Glastonbury 2027 Take Place?

Glastonbury Festival usually takes place during the last weekend of June. The dates for 2027 have already been confirmed to be 23rd to 27th of June. 

Who Is Headlining Glastonbury In 2027?

It's too early to tell at this stage. However, with a fallow year in between the last Glastonbury and 2027, expectations will be high for mind-blowing acts. So far Ellie Goulding, Raye, and Inhaler are rumoured, amongst others.

When Will Glastonbury 2027 Tickets Go On Sale?

We'd expect tickets to go on sale in November 2026 if Glastonbury and Seetickets follow the same pattern as previous years. 

How To Buy Glastonbury Festival Tickets for 2027?

If you'd like a ticket, you'll need to pre-register. This is an anti-touting measure. Registration will be open a few months before tickets go on sale.

Full weekend tickets in 2025 cost £373.50 plus a £5 booking fee - £378.50 in total. We expect the price to rise for 2027's festival.

The festival/SeeTickets has implemented a queue system in 2025 which means that as soon as you land on the website, you'll be in a queue with others hoping to buy a ticket. Fans have generally seen this system as more fair but more frustrating due to long wait times spent in the queue and progress bars not reflecting any actual progress. This is expected to also be implemented for the 2027 ticket sale, perhaps with some tweaks and improvements.

Festival Ethos

The Festival wants people to think about their journey to the Festival, to use public transport, or if coming by car to share transport with others. The Festival is committed to minimising the amount of waste, and managing the on site collection of that waste efficiently, 'reduce, reuse and recycle'.

Glastonbury Festival believes that work begins at home, at Worthy Farm. Looking after the fields, the hedges and the livestock has always been the Festival's number one concern, and it is what life is all about. Please take everything you bring and your litter home with you and 'leave no trace'.

Festivals goers should think responsibly when they are packing their things to take to the Festival, and not bring items that will end up in landfill, or that they won't want to take back home again, remember to "Limit what you bring, and clean up behind you."

The festival donates much of its profits to good causes including Oxfam, Greenpeace, WaterAid and hundreds of other worthy causes, both local and international.
