Now on an enlarged site due to the purchase of 100 acres from Cockmill Farm, the licenced attendance is increased to 40,000.
Acts include: Roger Chapman, The Boomtown Rats, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Pogues, Ian Dury, Aswad, Hugh Masekela, Working Week, James, The Men They Couldn't Hang, Microdisney, Joe Cocker and The Style Council.
CND and local charities benefit to the amount of £100,000.
