Nope hasn't sold out any type of ticket - even launch general admission

I think a big factor effecting this is the lack of new music.

The GA DAMN Tour tickets sold out across the country somewhat instantly, but he was touring an album that was a critical and commercial success that was released in the 6 months prior to tickets going on sale.

We've not had a new record from him (excluding Black Panther soundtrack) since April 2017 - nearly 3 years.

Assuming this new album drops soon, I'd assume BST GA will sell out very soon after that.

Anything said on if he's subbing McCartney or not?

I asked about which format for Noel, and also r.e. Aerosmith but said they didn't know either. Sounds sketchy but believe me, it is as good as hearing it from Micky E himself , and proud to say I have a good track record of info on here 🙂

Any nuggets of info on the other stage headliners?

In particular who will be opposite Kendrick as that's not my cuppa tea!

What's the latest? Still just twiddling our thumbs waiting for a random release?

Yeah pretty much. It's going to a "rock-influenced album" but that's about as much as we know. Given the EU tour starts in July, I think we can expect something relatively soon - there will likely be a hint or something a week or two before the drop.

The only thing that worries me about it is that the US DAMN tour was within a few months of release of the DAMN, and right now there's no noise at all that I've heard about a US tour.

It would be somewhat weird for Kendrick to release an album, and the first tour of it be a European festival tour.

But I'm hoping I'm just overthinking it and the long and short is he has a new, experimental album that's almost ready so logically it will come out in the next 6 months.

Edit: To provide a bit more context, in his fan forums/twitter most were expecting an album late last year. There were then some rumours of a delay for personal reasons to Q1. The general consensus seems to be we're expecting something this month - However I have Kanye West - Yhandi PTSD, so I'm not getting my hopes up.

To add to this, DAMN released on the 14th of April, the first day of Coachella, and Kenneth headlined on the 16th. First ever show with DAMN, first time showcasing the DAMN tour visuals. It was pretty exciting how soon after he released it that he showed it on stage with a show.

I'd be pretty excited if the same was happening here, releasing the album the week of Glasto. I'd be absolutely buzzin.

Blimey that journo was really crowbaring for answers.

Poster sounds like it's coming soon then. This time next month we could have it.

Who was the female act she was talking about? Robyn perhaps?

    • I agree the prices are tough for locals. You can see if Porto timetable is the type that works for you and it's a terrific city. Also cheaper. https://www.primaverasound.com/es/porto/lineup-porto
    • thanks XXialac! i guess for us the most important aspect will be a festival that starts very late in the day, specially in these southern countries were it can be really hot! The combination of visiting a new city, having good lunches and enjoying a festival is a absolute must for us. Also, we like headliners but the undercard is just as important; truly enjoyed Men I trust, NewDad, Big Thief this year so from that angle it is not really a big thing if a festival is somewhat smaller.    Apparently my bad, i had 5 in my system but 0.5 (10%) increase is still huge. I am not sure how teenagers can afford these prices............
    • That second part was how I felt about Rock IM Park this year trying first. I found that when it gets to like the 3rd act on the main stage down, you've gotta make a choice to miss anything leading up might not enjoy and it's sometimes while closer for not a great view as everyone in turn has to make the call too. Being short doesn't help as I'd just be able be further bacm but still see.
    • I wasn’t slagging Scooter off, they are undeniably silly. As I said, they are the definition of a meme booking for Download. People requested them for years because it was silly.
