Kylie and Janet on the same day? Seems unlikely, but I’m in!

Really don't think she could.

To be honest I think even the people saying sub are a bit optimistic - if she's playing Sunday then my best guess would be 3rd from top immediately after Kylie. Even then I think Kylie would slightly overshadow her.

I think she'd play below Kylie to be honest.

Remember when Janet Jackson's boob was accidentally on TV for about 1 second and the entire world lost their minds about it for about 6 months? All anybody could talk about. The news used to be quite banal before the constant existential threat of western civilisation's impending collapse.

Odds have been slashed on The Killers headlining according to NME.

“’Somebody Told Me’ that The Killers could be on for another Glastonbury headliner slot this year – so we’ve cut our odds after they’ve been well backed,” said a spokesman for 888sport. “Brandon Flowers would certainly be ‘The Man’ for the job, and after a flurry of bets, we think they’re set to light up the Pyramid Stage once again.”

Saw that. Interesting.

All we need now is to have Kasabian enter the fray and we’ll have the unholy KKK trinity all in possible (hopefully unrealistically) contention

If you’re willing to spend a few quid on it, you can push their odds down and they’ll have their own article and everything.

Kings Of Leon and The Killers would be much more suitable headliners than The Strokes tbf.

I mean, they're all mostly dogshit for 10+ years, but at least your average Pyramid field dweller/BBC viewer would actually know who KoL and The Killers are and more than 1 of their songs.

Why should we care about those people?

This may well have been raised already but if it does end up being The Strokes, maybe that wasn't the original intention, i.e. they were booked to sub Paul McCartney (or The Cure), and circumstances (i.e. a headliner dropout and no viable alternatives) resulted in a Florence-esque bunk-up?

Pretty much the ONLY way The Strokes are gonna headline Glastonbury in 2019.

    • Primavera refunding day tickets which are probably a negligible percentage of attendees yesterday.
    • Thursday day tickets being refunded. Fair play.
    • I’ve had a good sleep and I feel weirdly zen about the whole thing.   My first Primavera, so not the greatest first impression. I guess today couldn’t be any worse, right?   Thoroughly enjoyed Men I Trust and Geese. Cupra is a beautiful stage and the crowd seemed fun, friendly and engaged.   I think it probably could have gone even worse, considering how dangerous the crowding felt at times.   Anyway, we go again.
    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
