  1. Chance of socially distanced (small) indoor concerts in late June ? Asking for a friend.
  2. Where there’s hope.. https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/five-minute-covid-test-nightclubs-moonshot-plan_uk_602fee6fc5b67c32961d49aa
  3. Well at least they're busy booking tours. Late Oct, bit optimistic ?
  4. As you say, not set in stone.... Madrid suspends vaccinations for two weeks due to supply shortage Madrid health authorities have suspended vaccination against Covid-19 this week and next as they are running out of doses, Madrid’s deputy regional president Ignacio Aguado said on Wednesday. Reuters reports: Spain reported 591 deaths on Tuesday, the highest daily fatality figure of the third wave, El pais reports, amid a plateuing rise in new infections. Tuesday’s number of new cases was 36,435, the same level seen a week ago and far from the 44,357 repo
  5. Yes, it will. I think it's fair to say that the "direction of travel" is that there won't be a festival season this year. Not in June, not in September, certainly not on the scale of Primavera.
  6. Article mentions cut off dates... https://www.theguardian.com/music/2021/jan/21/glastonbury-2021-officially-cancelled-due-to-covid-pandemic
  7. “By the end of the summer, the commission has said the member states should have vaccinated 70% of the entire adult population”. End of the summer.
  8. EU common vaccination certificate will not come with travel rights Daniel Boffey The EU’s member states will agree by the end of the month on the form of a common vaccination certificate but there are no plans to give travel rights to holders of such documents, the European commission has said. The paperwork will instead be used to ensure pan-European recognition of citizens’ vaccination records although other possible uses will be debated by the bloc’s leaders at a virtual summit on Thursday. The commission’s vice-president, Margaritis Schinas, said the us
  9. Yeah, the mutations / variations are the big issue.
  10. There’s more chance of me shi55ing in the Queen’s handbag that there being a circa 60k capacity festival in the first week of June. I’m a little sceptical about the chances in September to be honest.
  11. I said it's his expectation. I'm not suggesting it's informed by any official "calendar". It's entirely anecdotal of course and I mentioned it to illustrate some other post that suggested the EU is comparatively behind in terms of the rollout vs UK.
  12. To illustrate this point. My Dad lives near Barcelona, has done for many years, his expectation on receiving the vaccination is May. He’s 75. There won’t be a Primavera in the first week of June.
  13. Matt Hancock (UK Health Secretary) has said this morning that they aim to offer every adult in the UK the vaccine "by Autumn". If it's comparable in the EU then I don't, diven the demograhic, unfortunately anticipate an early September global music festival being viable (I assume that literally no one is hanging onto the idea of Primavera taking place in early June this year). It's looking more and more like 2022 unless they can push it even further back this year. However an October "Primavera" (for example) would have a very, very different feel to June. Sadly the music industry was alw
  14. Primavera pushing 'em back. Might be an indication on current thinking on indoor gigs.
