She’s not non-binary she is pansexual! The queens refers to a drag act who she used to perform with! She is now branding herself as Chris which I guess could be male or female! I don’t think we need to brand her as anything! At the end of the day she is an amazingly talented performer

Okay!

It's perfectly fair to judge their potential to headline the Pyramid in the context of the previous time they did it and fucked it.

They also had only 2 weeks notice to pull it off. It's like judging Hayden Mullins' ability as a manager based on the two games he just had with Watford.

I always thought it was really impressive that they managed to get Snoop Dog, De La Soul, Mark E Smith, Lou Reed, Bobby Womack, Shaun Ryder, the little dragon singer and Bootie Brown on such short notice

Yeah I remember being really excited in the lead up hearing about all the guests they’d managed to secure. Just a shame that in practice the guests made the whole thing more disjointed, and the crowd seemingly didn’t really give a shit about or know half of them.

There was brilliance at points (and Snoop coming on was an all time great moment) but yeah, the rest was a bit awkward and disjointed. Fair play to Damon though, it can't have been easy with such short notice.

I'm of the opinion that they'd absolutely slay a sub or OS headline slot.

Also, FWIW, they were absolutely amazing at Boomtown in 2018. And I'm not even really that much of a fan!

Agreed. That whole field doing the big side to side arm wave thing for Superfast Jellyfish is burned into my mind in particular, but the entire gig was great.

they really were fantastic at boomtown! It was a real highlight for me that year.

the only downside was a fella stood by us got his bag robbed by a group of lads, not nice :(

Should have called over some of the security you made friends with :)

Ugh for god sake

Tried to find this tweet has it been taken down?

The thought of you searching through an Italian football journalist’s tweets about what kind of add-ons Man United will pay in the Jadon Sancho deal for some potential Muse news is killing me here.

    • No worries, it's a perfectly fair question to ask. I would expect people to be talking at the back & near the bars & that is where I would want them to be talking. If your group are enjoying yourselves & the music & briefly chatting to say how much you are loving a certain song etc, you would be an ideal group to stand behind.   My issue is with people having full blown conversations (usually unrelated what is on the stage) whilst being surrounded by people who are trying to listen to the music. This was happening in the middle and towards the front of all stages, & so you have limited options to move around & you may have spent 20 minutes waiting for the band trying to get the closest position that you can. If there's a group of 8 people, there may be 2 or 3 that like the band & the rest will start talking if the music isn't their thing. This may be the norm now for festivals, and if it is, that's ok & I will focus on a band's own gigs & UK based new music festivals.    I'm also not including consequences of my own decision making. I saw Geese on Wednesday so went to Occident after Men I Trust finished so it was understandable there would be chatting that far back. Similarly, getting to The XX after Olivia Rodrigo along with most of the site, I knew my chance of a good spot & a chat-free zone had gone so that was completely reasonable.   PS. I went to Bilbao BBK in 2023 & 2025 & enjoyed it. For Pulp & Kylie in 2025, I got a position early & was surrounded by a respectful & fun crowd for both. The UK non-headlining bands tend to go on the undercover 3rd stage, & most people like to congregate outside so you can usually get close to the front of that stage.
    • Interview on 6 music earlier, was going to get the album to have a listen, but comes out the day they play the festival
    • Additional dates added already
    • I feel like it's not COMPLETELY beyond the realm of possibility that they could headline but I just don't see it.    They're not doing anything other than headlining. So nah, I don't see it.
    • Consider that the sound quality can be better near the front bars right behind the soundbooth rather than closer to the stage, like with mbv. And of course, the front sections are full of talkers too.   The most courteous move would be to have conversations in the very back of the field.
