2022 Headliners

With the license extending over so many years, do the locals really have that much sway over things any more? Griffiths can yabber away all she likes in the MDC meetings, but her reach isn't what it used to be, surely.

I think if things came to a head, Glasto would in win a court case if they were denied a license one year because the locals demanded a certain type of artist. That is not relevant in any way for the event to be able to happen. I dont hear the locals for Coachella complaining about not getting a certain headliner on the poster. Probably because the region gets around a $700 million boost in its economy due to the festival happening.

Billie Kenny Macca

Strong Strong Strong

Only seen Radiohead on the Pyramid in the 4 times I’ve been. Chuffed (tho QOTSA on the Friday is probs where I will end up).

Praying Thom Yorke and Kenny don’t clash again 🥲

How confident is the kendrick prediction?

Neil (eFestivals) has info that Billie, Macca, Kendrick is our trio. He got Billie right so pretty likely that the Kendrick info is right too.

And that Billie info was a little while back too.

The late news on Radio 4 just did a piece about Billie being the youngest headliner and then went on to talk about a rumour of all female headliners of Billie, Adele and Taylor...it is the BBC though.

Of course they wanna make it seem as if its possible. Emily has said she wants to do that eventually and Im sure there would be tons of complaints about it anyway. Or worse, all 3 headliners being POC or LGBTQ.

Three pop soloists unlikely.

Wolf Alice, Fleetwood Mac, Billie Eilish.

Maybe even less likely. But I think much stronger as an all female (fronted) bill.

Can you imagine if they pulled out the ultimate booking hail mary and ended up with Billie, Adele and Taylor on the Pyramid, but then also something like Muse and Kasabian on the Other?!

The Radio X comments section would be in shambles. Could definitely see Kasabian headlining other though

Nice to pop back in and see genuine rumours after a shit show of life for the last 2 years. Billie, Kendrick and Macca is a great trio. I can't wait for all the others to be confirmed for the other stages etc for a bumper packed card with people desperate to just play the festival after so long.

    • Hey everyone! My friend and I are heading over from Sweden to Tramlines this summer. We had our eyes on a bunch of different festivals in the UK, but since most of them sold out before we even knew if we’d be able to make the trip, we finally settled on Tramlines. Why Tramlines, you might ask? Well, because we’re absolutely crazy about British music, and finding a festival like this (where you also don’t have to camp, a huge plus) made it impossible not to buy a ticket. The fact that I’ll also get to see The Enemy after beeing a fan for 19 years didn’t hurt either.   Since the app doesn’t work over here… is the Clashfinder schedule 100% accurate? What’s the venue like, and what does the map look like? Which sides of the stages are best to stand on? How long does it take to walk between stages? What are the prices usually for food and drinks? Is it easy to get to the festival from town? And is it easy to get back into town? Is it allowed to walk around with a beer anywhere in the venue, or are there those stupid fenced-off bar areas? As you can tell, I need all kinds of info, so please share your best tips and tricks to make this the best festival experience possible.  I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance! 😃
    • A whole year of this!  What a time to be alive! This is going to be an incredible playlist.
    • Sorry matey.  Always a nightmare when you have a plan and something scuppers it.   Happy myself, fills a nice little gap for me. Lucky so far really.     I’d have preferred an alternative too to break up the 21 pilot set but shan’t complain
    • Happy with the name, unhappy with what it did to the lineup. Now I have to choose between Florence Road and Beirut 😞 and still no alternative to 21p.
    • Odd and rare for RW indeed! I even remember reading in the past that one of the reasons for certain bands not appearing there, were similar demands being rejected. It’s weird that they play after Gorillaz and even more weird that there won’t be an alternative. All they had to do was push Pixies to later.
