You wouldn't expect many hospital admissions during fast growth, you expect them after high cases.

In other words, there's not much enough time for those cases to progress to hospital admissions.

Hospital admissions trail infections by a week or two usually, don’t they? It was only last week the Netherlands had less than 800 new infections a day, so hospitalisations will probably not be far behind, unfortunately. Let’s hope not.

Yeah I kind of feel like we should stockpile a bit too. Have been using them before seeing people we really don't want to infect. I know it's not perfect but was better than nothing! Wonder how much they will charge.

Thankfully our council give them out like sweets, so we should be ok.

Yeah, we will have to wait but its rather similar to the UK. Read an article that especially younger people are effected and nightclubs and discos are mentioned as hotspots where they get the Delta. Dutch government now thinks of moving one step back as they opened up nearly everything (masks only in public transport and the safety distance from around 1,5m is not kept by many people).

It’s a tricky one. With Delta, and between refuseniks and kids, I don’t think you can get to h*** i******** with vaccines alone. I think vaccinating down to 12 (I don’t think any country does lower?) massively helps with that.

Yeah I think it’ll probably settle around 90% which is still a really good take up of the vaccine.

We have boxes and boxes of unused ones that are just going to go waste sat in a training room at work … I might be able to get hold of some later on if people want some ( never thought I’d b dealing lateral flow kits ) will see how many work allow me to take 😀

I suppose that 20% of people don’t go to clubs and casinos so have said they wanted them closed as it doesn’t affect them. 

I suppose it’s a similar story for quarantining when coming from abroad or a 10pm curfew. If those people don’t go on hols or to the pub then they don’t care if the ones that do are impacted.

Shows that many people are only interested in what affects them personally which is a sad reflection on them.
I’m not interested in fishing or golf but I’d like to think I’d be able to give a balanced view on whether they should be allowed to go ahead or not without just saying ‘no more golf or fishing’ if asked in a survey.

The people surveyed surely haven't read the questions right. 1 in 3 people wanting a 10-day quarantine of returning from abroad regardless of Covid is weird, never mind the 19% wanting permanent 10pm curfews and club shutting. Some right drips about if it is legit

Because these people don't do any of those things, so wouldn't be affected. And they'd fee safer from any future pandemic. Remember half the country voted away our right to live and work in Europe because they had no interest in doing it for no real tangible benefit also.

@Toilet Duck stupid question but can you drink alcohol the night before getting your vaccine? I have a friend who is getting 2nd dose on Monday which is the morning after the footy final. Fair to say he will drink win or lose.

I know a guy who did study abroad in Prague but then voted for brexit... blows my mind.

Also I think a good few ex pats living in Spain etc voted for it. Madness.

Yeah our local pharmacy gives them out so just went and got a couple more! That would seem about right, but who knows?
