2022 Headliners

Ach, can’t say I’m thrilled about Billie. Her 2019 was dire (imo, was annoyed I’d hung around for it), and new album is a bit of a snore fest. Wouldn’t be big into QOTSA either really, so will be West Holts for me.

Would be a shame if Macca is out, especially as I have zero confidence in Reg playing given his previous.

Yeah AM would be my bet too. Particularly if the rumours of new music next year are true - plus would give a nice mix of headliners

Yeah Arctics are my bet anyway. Indie, female and heritage

Billie, Wolf Alice

Macca, HAIM, Aerosmith

Taylor Swift, Fatboy Slim

With QOTSA, Dua Lipa and Pet Shop Boys headlining the other stage

Billie, Dua Lipa, Wolf Alice

Arctics, Noel Gallagher, Aerosmith

Elton, Royal Blood, Haim, Di Ro, The Specials

QOTSA, Fatboy Slim and PSB for Other.

Couldn't think bar Royal Blood. Still think WA could do other sub Friday below Queens

heartbreaker, kendrick headlining the 50th was such an incredible statement by glastonbury. gutted its not happening. Also sadly for my own tastes, neither of those 2 acts do it for me on a friday, so on a personal level, a touch deflated, fingers crossed for WH / JP / PARK to save the night !

delighted for those who love billie or qotsa though, good for you 😄

*things I wouldn't have said a year ago* I'll be gutted if Taylor Swift doesn't appear next year.

Elton John would be good (but seeing him at the O2) so would prefer Macca to play, and have no interest in Billie Eilish, so this is all a bit disappointing for me personally. QOTSA and PSB on Other it will likely be but having seen both on Other before it would have been good to have something else to choose from. Anyway, still early days so we shall see 🙂

The Billie news makes me think no Taylor. Will be very stressed trying to get a ticket for 23 (not that I wouldn't anyway)

Aye that’s my concern! Taylor headlining and me sat there ticketless is giving me genuine nightmares

Gonna go out on a limb and suggest there will be more than two options to choose from.

    • I too am always a bit blurred on what/who constitutes a legend slot but would Sting fit that bill?  Those there said his IoW slot was v good and he has enough of a songbook imo for a Sun afternoon if he uses the Police's 1st 2 albums for a fair chunk of it
    • Thing is, I'd have said that as well.   But then she inexplicably ended up on the Wilderness lineup and that changes everything. I reckon if that goes well, which it will, then she's very much in the picture.
    • This has probably been discussed a hundred times already on efests but what constitutes a legend? I know some of it is my age but I don't see eurithmics or Duran Duran as legend status. Neil young or nils lofgren then yes and neither of them have overly troubled the charts. Duran Duran and indeed the eurithmics I would put in the 80s category and whilst it would be ok (human league at isle of wight we're fabulous) they just arent in my mind legend status.  Zombies played same festival- i would take that.
    • friendly tonight delayed , pitch draining pretty quick to be fair .... not sure it bodes well for other games with potential fixture backlog
