zahidf
There has been some! 1. Porridge radio: lexington 2. Divine comedy: barbican 3. Orbital: printworks 4. Trail of dead: tufnel park dome 5. Big moon: oslo
Gilgamesh69
Orbital would have been my last pre-lockdown gig, but I stupidly sold my ticket lmao So best gig has got to be The Strokes @ Roundhouse!
Mr Boo
Only got to do two this year- Julian Cope - Bristol Fleece Hot Eight Brass Band- Bristol O2 Both great nights, but feel like a long time ago.

lessthanwill1
Big Thief @hammersmith or Carly Rae at Brixton Academy. Managed to see Fontaines (rubbish) and Explosions in the Sky as well (very good).
EssexIndie
Gigs? I remember them... Only managed to get to 1 - DIIV at the Kentish Town forum. Bring on 2021!
Quark
Only managed 2 😭 October Drift supported by Youth Sector at Hope & Ruin Thyla supported by Nature TV at Brighton Electric. On the plus side they were both great gigs, first time I'd seen any of the bands and first time I'd even heard of the support acts, and been listening to them a lot since! priest17
Slipknot at the arena was an experience I waited a looooong time for and thoroughly enjoyed. I got too drunk to enjoy JPEGMAFIA (disappointing). Hotel Lux were alright, came out to Blackout Crew which started the whole thing well. Dry Cleaning supported by Pozi was great, I hadn't heard of Pozi before and love them now. DC great as well obviously. I saw Black Country, New Road 3 times in 4 days (twice in one night), the best one of those was YES Basement. Snapped Ankles at the Ritz were awesome (Supporting Beak> who were okay). Warmduscher was the most cramped gig I've ever been to definitely over sold the ol' Soup Kitchen. It was incredible though and I was squished into the bar so it was fine until I started needing a piss. God I miss that. Twin Peaks were great, seen them a few times now and they're all very, very good musicians now. Sorry I was literally gonna say my best ones then I got carried away thinking about them all, I really miss gigs. I was actually having to hold back as the project I'd been working on was coming to a close and have ended up very holding back this year ahah. Gnomicide
1. The Hold Steady - Camden Electric Ballroom 2. Stereophonics - Liverpool Mountford Hall 3. Perfectly Frank - Liverpool Phil Music Room Three gigs and no festivals in a year. 😩
Burgers_
Luckily went to a lot at the start of the year (think I managed 11, plus a few socially distanced since) - Foals at Shepherd's Bush Empire wins but quite a distance. The tiny Banquet Records shows for Stormzy and The Who weren't bad either!
Crazyfool01
Ive a clear winner from the one I went to ... October Drift at Louisianna Bristol
rascalpete
1. Two door cinema club (Virgin Money Unity Arena) 2. Only ‘normal’ gig - Stereophonics (Nottingham Arena) 3. Chase & Status (Virgin Money Unity Arena) 4. Frank Turner (Virgin Money Unity Arena)
mike46
Toss up between: Strokes at the Roundhouse Foals at Shepherds Bush
Hugh Jass
Supergrass at Ally Pally wins by default. Although I did really enjoy it to be fair.
found home in 2009
The only gig I got to go to this year was Algiers. They kind of do kind of gospel sounding rock. Despite that they chose the heaviest band ever as their support act, total make your ears bleed stuff. We actually left during the support act and came back in after they'd finished as it was too painful to listen to. Certainly a memorable gig. Annoyingly there were a few gigs I wanted to go to in February that sold out before I could get tickets
maelzoid
No gigs for me this year. I had tickets for quite a few, hopefully all still happening in 2021.

TheFullShaboo
1. Strokes @ roundhouse 2. Mystery Jets @ some Dr Martens store in Camden ... that’s all I went too... I think? on reflection, that’s a pretty insane double. 2020 was nothing but 10/10 gigs!
cdm22
Sigrid - The Omeara The Subways (tour warm up gig) - Hitchin DIIV - Kentish Town Indian Queens - Rockaway Beach Penelope Isles - Rockaway Beach Looking back, I am rather glad we went to Rockaway Beach in January. I don't think we saw a bad act all weekend. Edited December 1, 2020 by cdm22
duke88
I only did two, and both were the same weekend! Supergrass at Ally Pally on the Friday, and Roisin Murphy at the Roundhouse the following night. I really enjoyed both and it was a lovely weekend away in London, so good ones to finish on! deebeedoobee
Only managed 33 bands and 1 festival this year. 93% down on last year. Best 2 had to have been: The Murder Capital, Bristol. - captivating John ( times two) , Bath. - oh the volume in that small room was outstanding.

zero000
Carly Rae Jepsen in Victoria Warehouse was just fantastic. Everything I wanted it to be. Brilliant set list and the band were great. Jon Hopkins in Bath was also brilliant, but it had one of the weirdest vibes being so close to the lockdown.
