  1. Thanks, will have a listen
  2. Not seen many gigs this year, but have had a good couple of weeks and saw- Gruff Rhys at the Komedia. Gig was probably less than half full, but great set. Candylion sounded so good. Arlo Parks at Bristol O2. 02 was full and it was a happy crowd. Lovely set and lovely singer. Black Pumas at Bristol 02. If you get a chance, I really recommend seeing this band. The band and frontman were amazing, really got the crowd singing, clapping and dancing. The song colors was just magic.
  3. I haven’t seen any of the new series yet, but enjoyed the first 2 series 👍
  4. I preferred Alice in the Borderland. Really liked Midnight Mass and Clickbait. Enjoying Brand New Cherry favour at the moment
  5. Mr Boo

    Elton John

He said that due to his injury he can’t do a 3 hour set (and so cancelled his tour), but could manage a forty minute set for Global Citizen
  6. Micheal Kiwanuka is a great first headliner for next year
  7. Sounds like a great dilemma to have 😊
  8. We have just got tickets. Been to Green Man, but never been to End of the Road, very excited 😊
  9. Tempted by this. Has anyone seen them? Do they play the hits?
  10. It’s a long time ago that I watched Top Gun, but I’m pretty sure the scene where Tom Cruise steals some eggs for his breakfast is a pivotal moment in the film 😆
  11. Me and my family have been walking alpacas today, they are so fluffy 😊
  12. Me and my family just done LFTs still all negative 👍
  13. As I was heading towards the comedy tent, I saw a female actor. Couldn’t remember her name at the time, but recognised her. Using google I think it might have been Cecila Imrie that I saw (definitely a British actor over 50). Did you see her? Did you see anyone else?
  14. I feel like I have opened a packet of pringles and eaten half of them, but I can’t stop now, I need more. Feed me more live music, yum yum 😋
  15. Me and my family all okay also. Going back to a festival made me so happy. I really hope festivals and gigs continue and that we all get more opportunities to experience live music
  16. Yeah agree with this l. I felt we were really lucky that none of the headliners had to cancel. Wanted to see Arlo Parks, but she would have clashed with Rudimental and they turned out to be one of my favourite sets of the festival. I see Arlo is touring and so will try and catch her later in the year. Me to. Always a good selection of acts and they have a beer festival going on as well - genius
  17. Highlights of the weekend- (1) Being lucky enough to be back at a festival with a friendly crowd of people all wanting to have fun. (2) Wolf Alice- Unbelievably great set (3) Supergrass - had high hopes for this set and it didn’t disappoint (4) Rudimental- A brilliant party band, completely unexpected highlight for me. (5) Damian Albarn- only saw the last 4 songs of the set, but a magical moment (6) Bill Bailey- comedy highlight for me- although special mentions to Katherine Ryan, Rich Hall and Flo and Joan (7) Black Honey- this set made my daughters so happy. Children happy = happy parents (8) Declan McKenna - what a great sounding band (9) Beabadoobee- lovely voice, lovely songs (10) Lucia & the best boys and Dream Wife - both did great sets, so cheating and adding them both into my top ten. Special shout-outs to - Sea Girls, Tim Burgess, Bombay Bicycle Club and Bastille. To be honest I enjoyed everything I saw, knackered but so happy😊 edit - forgot Kawala, they were great as well.
  18. Me and family Boo had the perfect end to Saturday. Rudimental were brilliant- what a great party band and a great reminder of how (at festivals) you can see bands that you wouldn’t normally go and see and have a brilliant time- we all loved that set (and would definitely see them again). My daughters love Black Honey, so after Rudimental we started walking towards Sunrise arena, but on the way we could hear that Damian Albarn was still playing and so we went to have a listen, we were on the opposite side of the lake to waterfront stage, but in fact had a decent view and Damian walked round the stage and ensured our side of the lake got to see him as well. Anyway we heard the last four songs of the set, which included a Gorillaz track and 2 Blur tracks (finished with this is a low - Mrs Boo had a tear in her eye), lovely stuff. Then Damian got into a boat and ended up over on our side of the lake, right by us (we gave him a wave). Black Honey had a small but enthusiastic crowd, they invited the women in the crowd to go to the front, my daughters ended up right in the front of the lead singer and they were so happy (it was the highlight of their festival). Bloody love being back at a festival 😊
  19. My oldest daughter loved this set so much, I was impressed as well, some of the songs a bit 70s rock, great sound 👍
  20. Agree, we did the same 😊
  21. As mentioned by Mr Chapple Katherine Ryan is a good shout. If you want music - Kamala are on the Olelisk at 3.30pm, happy indie music, that reminds me of Vampire Weekend a bit.
  22. Wow Wolf Alice were brilliant
  23. Which acts are your must sees and post festival which acts were in fact your highlights. My list of must sees - Wolf Alice Supergrass Bombay Bicycle Club Black Honey (sad about clash with Chemical Brothers) Arlo Parks/ Damon Albarn Goat Girl Kawala Bastille Reorchestrated Sea Girls Beabadoobee
  24. Agree that is a nasty clash. Also would like to see Black Honey and the Chemical Brothers
  25. Ignore that- someone has pointed Anna meredith is likely to be playing at 3pm and not 3am- which makes a lot of sense. Back to some 80s cheese with Rick for me 🕺 and just when I was about to give him up
