I used to go for the resales, but I find the uncertainty too stressful. Now if I don’t get the tickets in the main sales, I save myself extra stress and book a different festival. Instead of being stressed and sad I didn’t get Glastonbury tickets, I start getting excited about the festival I am going to instead. There was a time, when I would continue to try to get tickets until the bitter end, but now I prefer to give up, I find it is better for my mental health. Those of you continuing the good fight, your ticket resale resilience is stronger than mine at this point, so good luck and I wish you well 👍 Personally I’m looking forward to spending a lovely weekend at the Isle of Wright festival with my family, my best mate and Pulp 😊

What about Peter Gabriel ? I see he has just announced an arena tour in uk from 17th - 25th June

Last year we went to Madcool and End of the Road festivals (both great). After today’s Glastonbury ticket disappointment, we are going to go to Isle of Wright festival instead- Pulp, Blondie will be highlights for me and lots for the rest of the family 😊

Didn’t get Glastonbury tickets, so going to do this. Pulp and Blondie will be the bands I will be most excited to see. Never done this festival before 👍

That was horrible. One of our friends got onto the payment page and added our details (thanks Dan), but sold out before we managed to get the payments through ☹️ well done to everyone that is going next year, but we are out ( can’t put ourselves through the resales and risk going to no festivals at all). Didn’t manage to get tickets this year and we won’t be able to go in 2024 either, so will have our longest ever gap between Glastonbury festivals☹️ For everyone who is also suffering the post ticket sale blues, hope you are able to find nice things to do today and for those of you that are going for the resales, you are still in the game 👍 good luck 🤞

Yes, that’s the one. Done 6 episodes now and still enjoying it. Surprised it wasn’t released with more fanfare. Has rotten tomatoes scores of 100% (tomatometer) and 95% (audience) 👍

I think of Gone Fishing and Grand Designs as the start of Autumn - time to struggle on the sofa with a nice cup of tea. Just watch the Woodstock 1999 Train wreck, can’t believe they gave out all those candles, beyond stupid. Also the way the women in the crowd were treated was sickening.

I have been to go to two festivals this year and luckily both were top of the Class. Madcool - unbelievable line up. Lovely crowd. No queue’s for the bar and lots of toilets. Only improvement would have been the transport links, but like Mary Poppins it was almost perfect in every way. End of the Road- what a special place this festival is. Nice choice of bands, great crowd. Some issues with the toilets and wasps, but I think almost everyone had a great time. Would go to both of these festivals again.

So with the festival season coming to an end, which festivals were- Top of the class - the almost perfect festivals with top marks. Good - Have the potential to be in the top set next year, but have some homework to do. Fair- some good moments, but heading for detention if they don’t concentrate on making improvements. Poor- bottom of the class. So disappointing that they are expelled from your future festival plans.

I agree with this. I love the Pixies, but after a great start I was disappointed with that set. Onto the good - Went to the festival with my wife, teenage daughters and a couple of friends, I really enjoyed being with this group. We had a lot of laughter and fun. Loved the site, so beautiful. Great food- ate as much of it as I could. The Peacock chicks, four cute bundles of feathers. The fires to sit by. musical highlights- The Heavy Heavy - was amazed by them, how can a band be so good after only one EP? The Magnetic Fields at the Piano stage, lovely moment and I wish I had seen their headline set. Caught the last part of Los Bitchos set and really enjoyed that, what good fun. Also caught part of the Lucy Dacus set, magical stuff Fleet Foxes, Bright Eyes, Dehd, Perfume Genius also highlights. I liked most of the sets I saw to be honest. The weather😎 - feel like we might have had the last of the summer The Bad As already stated- the wasps, they really are gits at this time of year. Having to go back to work on Tuesday, still suffering a festival come down. I need the weekend to come.

I agree, I think the leisure industry is in for a shock. This summer the problem has probably been hidden to a degree- as people have been going to festivals and gigs they had paid for during or before Covid.

I agree mate, you need things to look forward to, luckily it isn’t difficult to make you happy- a few beers, music and good conversation. Obviously you are welcome over ours anytime and the beers will flow and the music will be great (unless you start putting on folky flute solos) 😊
