Not sure where the info came from but it seems to be a known thing that they’re only playing the US this year to go along with the election. Whether they’ll continue beyond that, who knows, but they’re definitely not gonna be playing a non-headliner slot at Glastonbury.

Yeah I heard that as well, my only thoughts being they could headline Other as Emily mentioned pyramid sized headliners for it - and I have one industry mate who said that they were told they're booked, which I questioned him on again yesterday and he's pretty convinced its true as its from a good source

plus they're literally my favourite band so im holding out hope :)

Here's a question for those of you like me who want to see all three headliners but who don't necessarily wanna spend three nights at the Pyramid

Who would you drop on to the subs bench? It's impossible!

Kendrick: The pinnacle of hip hop

Macca: Does it get bigger than Macca?

Taylor: Banger after banger after banger

I'm a late convert to Taylor, but my feeling is she'll be the set of the weekend

I'd ask why you need to choose tbh.  If there's 3 acts that you want to see, what's to stop you seeing them?  if there's a clash with another stage then fair enough, but if it's just a case of principle that you don't want to be at the Pyramid 3 nights then you'd be cutting off your nose to spite your face, no?

Seeing out the night at the Pyramid is the tops. Much better than fucking off down to a deserted SE corner just to avoid a queue.

I always like to see a headliner at West Holts / Park / John Peel as the stages have really different atmospheres.

I wouldn't want to spend all three nights at the Pyramid regardless of who was playing.

Swifty doesn't float my boat, but if nothing else appeals on Sunday night I'll probably wander down for a look.

I don't think there is a better place on the planet to watch a headline act than the Pyramid.

When there's nothing on I fancy it's where I tend to gravitate to.

Yep, Sophie's choice right there.

We're in strictly hypothetical territory and I'll definitely be at all three, but with a gun to my head I'd drop Kendrick. I'm certain he'll smash it, but of the three he has the biggest chance of putting on a "meh" performance.

Can't possibly see how Taylor and Macca don't completely smash it. Even if Macca's voice completely packs in by the festival, the crowd will carry it.

Get tix to a BST show and see Kendrick/Taylor there. 😁

Archetypal first world problem - the pyramid headliners are sensational but I'll get venue fatigue if I'm there 3 nights in a row.

Who said that?

Must admit i'm very non plussed about Kendrick on a personal level.

I am very excited to see who will be headlining the elsewhere though, any ideas as to who he will be up against on the Other Stage?

My guess is pet shop boys up against him on the other.

Potentially Editors on JP if that rumour turns out to be true, if that floats your boat

    • If the rumours coming out of the U2 camp are correct (big stadium world tour) then think they're more likely to do Wembley, Twickenham, etc as they'll be able to bring their own production and typically like to go big.
    • I was thinking big London date and lots of smaller ones.
    • I don't think they are too big for Castlefield these days. They've not had a new album for almost a decade and they like playing smaller venues. Maybe multiple nights is another option as they do like residencies
    • Second half of next week I would expect for stage times.
    • made a last minute decision to go to Belladrum festival.   it was absolutely wonderful.   never been before, to be honest I think I was expecting a stage in a field and a burger van, but its nothing at all like that.   the site is beautiful, its small enough to get around, but big enough that there are things to discover round each corner, there are a good number of small stages tucked away.   you could quite easily convince yourself you were in Glastonbury in places.   I may have only been one time, but already learned a valuable lesson - the site itself may be Glastonbury like, but the "general camping" campsite is very much Reading like! as the morning mist rises... its a view like the Do Lung Bridge scene in Apocalypse Now...   so if you are not 15 years old, go to family or quiet camping which is fantastic.   its a real family friendly festival to - loads of families and kids of all ages running round and stuff for them to do.   I would 100% recommend it, and I really can't see any reason why I wont be going back next year!   🙂
