Could be way off the mark here but was there a thing at one point about a solo Male headliner who hadn’t played before?

Creamfields announced Calvin Harris as a U.K. dance festival exclusive today which is weirdly niche and almost like they’re desperate to claim some kind of exclusive so we know he’s playing somewhere else. Could obviously be TRNSMT, IOW or any other big festival in the U.K. but could it also be Glasto?

Somebody on a Glastonbury Facebook group claimed to have heard he was headlining Other Stage on the Saturday night a month or so back, so this ‘dance festival exclusive’ adds weight to that. He won’t be headlining the Pyramid.

Other headliner if anything surely rather than Pyramid.

Trnsmt and Isle of Wight have announced their headliners.

But he could also play radio 1 big weekend or reading and Leeds.

People can probably stop tying themselves in knots trying to conjure up someone that isn't Kendrick.

This.

Any chance of Green Day to headline the Friday? I know they have a gig that night but is there any chance?

Calvin will be secret set

No chance.

It would be pandemonium wherever he played except Other (or Pyramid).

I can see him in the same vein as Deadmau5 & Skrillex that have played the Other in the past. Which might rule out Massive attack as a headliner.

As long as Eminem doesn’t mime.

Some efesters in the past have said he will never play due to his homophobic lyrics etc but this is another level. It could happen for an encore but I can’t see it happening.

Three massive acts on one stage.

Has this been discussed and overly thought about on here?

Does Kendrick do 3 nights on the trot - does anyone know what day he is playing Lollapalooza?
No photo description available.

He often did 3, 4 and even 5 nights on the run on his last tour, and I'm not sure what day he's playing there myself but I'm fairly certain it isn't the Friday.

The Strokes have just been announced for a few European festivals all around Glasto time. Other stage headliner surely?

Sounds like they're doing their own show in the UK next summer according to the drummer. Unless he was BSing they won't be at Glastonbury.

Can’t believe this passed me by!

It was a very brief Music News segment. Tbh no one else seems to have heard it so I'm starting to think I made it up 😂 but yeah he was definitely on and asked one of those coy questions like "will we see you in a muddy field next summer", which is obviously referencing Glastonbury, and he waffled something about wanting to do something for their own fans instead of a big festival.

Only to people obsessed with Glastonbury. To just about everyone else and especially non-UK people it's more likely to be taken as a generic reference to festivals in general.

It's like when half the forum convinced themselves that Fleetwood Mac were confirmed because Mick used the expression "muddy field" on stage a few times, as if he could only be thinking about Glastonbury when he was stood in front of 20,000 people at Madison Square Garden.

    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
    • Keep in mind those crowds were full of teenagers. Glasto aint full of teenagers. Theres no way she could demand headline and get it because they got other acts to give the slot to who deserve it with a bigger catalog. Reading/Leeds would headline her cause its still LN.  If the fest was struggling its Other headline. But a 3rd down Pyramid is likely the landing spot. Itll go down like the Camila Cabello performance pretty much.
    • Norwich times if anyone is interested
