They probably will. Doubt their fans circa 2013 are ones to move with the times.

I saw some European dates leak out that were in May next year so I'm surprised they're playing here so soon. Kicking off if one of those APE Presents gigs is the Mumfords doing their Gentlemen of the Road shit again.

Doing Liverpool Manchester and Leeds is probably quite bold, I reckon. Tho I've just seen its in the round which I guess helps as the standing capacity is probably smaller?

Those May dates are on the official website. There's a Gentlemen of the Road in Aukland so that's clearly very much still a thing, which might make that not a bad shout

How long have they been doing gigs at the Olympia?

I know a major redevelopment of Olympia was announced earlier this year and part of that includes a live music venue. Someone I know was part of the plans and told me Livenation were in discussions to run it. As far as I am aware it is still at planning stage though and a few years off.

Thanks, grabbed a couple. What's the catch? Used to paying more than a fiver for a pint of Brooklyn alone!

No catch, Just a promo tour. I'd have posted this beforehand but wanted to make sure I had my tickets first.

EDIT - London sold out, still tickets for Manc left.

Post Malone has got arenas - yup, arenas - in Dublin, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow in the new year, with a London date coming at the back of further EU dates.

Dunno why that's surprising, he's like the biggest thing there is right now. Was actually just on my way to suggest him as a Pyramid sub if he isn't headlining places next Summer.

i'd say there's close to zero chance of Post Malone being at Glastonbury 2019. not the type of act the book (especially for the Pyramid), and he's unlikely to care about giving up the $$$ to perform on the farm.

    • Me too.  Reckon they must have more this year.   Not bad is it - ended up paying same price as this year.  It still represents great value for me.  Well, until I check my bank account the Monday after the weekend.
    • Well mayors have more powers to do that sh*t...but they have to make the numbers add up.
    • We'll see. Bristol and Leeds are both massively overdue big public transport investment - 2 of the cities with the worst transport infrastructure per capita in Western Europe. If this works to help support investment projects great and fair play to Burnham.
    • The Bródy Day was his idea because Sziget has always been late when it comes to this kind of concert. They would only organize farewell performances or tribute shows after an artist had passed away. Since Bródy is one of the country's greatest singer-songwriters, they wanted to honor him while he is still alive. (He didn't say it exactly like that, but the man is 80 and has just stopped playing large concerts.) He never understood why anyone would focus exclusively on one generation, especially Gen Z, who have less disposable income, drink less, and are, in his words, "afraid of partying." He explained that in the past, people loved festivals because of the nonstop partying, whereas many younger people today find that experience overwhelming or exhausting. That's one of the reasons why Sziget will introduce more chill zones and sensory-friendly spaces. They also want to attract older generations, who are generally more willing and able to spend money. The Sziget Icons days are aimed at this audience, and in the future they hope to create a more balanced lineup that appeals to people over 35 as well.   It was a long interview. If anything else comes to mind, I'll share it.
