Okay then, runners and riders:

Gaga

The Strokes

The Killers

Arctic Monkeys

Spice Girls

Springsteen

Something left field we haven't considered

Everyone mentioned in here > The Strokes

I've never been fully on board with The Cure but appreciate they are worthy of headlining even if not entirely to my tastes.

The Strokes though, seriously?

The only artist on that list that interests me is Gaga, the others I've either seen or don't want to see.

How does the "it was Macca but then he couldn't do it" narrative sit with him just doing another gig though? Would he just decide he doesn't fancy it and play Vegas instead if he was lined up?

Was mentioned elsewhere on here he tends to tout himself out as a negotiating tactic, maybe he got made an offer that was too good to turn down. There was also info saying he was playing BST if i recall, then it emerged he wasn't doing it, fits with the narrative that he also dropped out on Glasto.

Can't believe the amount of times I've been outright told that none of Stormzy, The Strokes or The Cure could headline the Pyramid Stage and they're all headlining it in the same year.

To be clear what reasons are you presuming it will be the Strokes?

I was going to post about that, but then I remembered that the thing it came from was proven fake when the (bonaroo?) poster within it was a fake?

I can't even remember the source where that came from, can't recall it being linked to a poster.

    • Gojira are unoficially confirmed by the organisation at Hellfest since last December already.   Slayer was supposed to be this year as a Mainstage 2 headliner at the place of Volbeat for a thrash day but negotiations fell off. Very likely to be there next year.    MCR I didn't know about but it fits well with Hellfest's desire to keep one day as more punk/rock orientated.    Europe are a confirmed headliner for Sweden Rock 2027. They will not headline HF but we may seem them on the bill. I am very curious who will be the legacy bands next year at HF. There was some backlash after 2025 and a bit of a return to heavier metal on the bill in 2026 - e.g. Gatekeeper on the main stage. The only considerable legacy acts I see coming (if they are in Europe) and haven't been at HF for a while are Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Slash, FFDP (if you count them as legacy), ZZ Top, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. I really hope they manage to pull sth big for the 20th anniversary like AC/DC.
    • Looking forward to Doja Cat letting us all know what is going on later on today. It is a good job that somebody is keeping us informed.
    • They've got a few gigs in Dec/Jan.  Hoping to pick up a couple of tickets for Margate later today
