Been looking at post history and he got the killers 2 months early (was it common knowledge in 2019?). Lots of TRNSMT info too for 2019

Liam Gallagher is definitely big enough love him or hate him, few artists could do 2 knebworth shows alongside a schedule of pretty excessive touring

And how many things has this poster gotten wrong over the years?

I don't think Liam Gallagher headlines, but if he did, regardless of what many on these boards might think, it would be generally well-received and very busy on the night

No doubt.  He's clearly massively popular.  Fuck knows why, but he is.

Liam Gallagher is not a quality act. Shite live in terms of energy and vocal ability. Seen him multiple times and been disappointed every time.
Considering he plays Oasis songs for 11/17 of his setlist shows no one actually really cares about his solo venture and it is more an excuse to keep touring and reliving past glory.

Would be an incredibly underwhelming headliner

Absolutely superb at Knebworth earlier this year. Doesn't seem like a progressive Glasto booking mind but as others have said the field will be chocka block.

Don’t at all buy that Liam is gonna headline, but if he does end up doing it you’ve gotta think they’ve gone through a lot of other options to get there and must’ve had a big last minute dropout.

Yeah he’s obviously big enough… but he’s still a weak booking for Glastonbury, especially after subbing in ‘19 and interest noticeably waning massively any time he played a non-Oasis song.

AM, GNR, Liam, Roxy makes me think that things have gone horribly wrong and there’s probably been some very intense meetings in the office.

it really does look like cost of living glastonbury though

Define "gone horribly wrong", I mean it's not a particularly progressive trio by any means, but it is still three stadium sized acts that many people would be very happy with.

FWIW I don't for second think that would be the trio.

It comes to something when Roxy Music are the most exciting on the list doesn’t it?

It does feel very much like they're scraping the barrel with having LG headline - especially if it's because of a drop out 8 months before the festival so you'd assume there'd be a decent list of acts to go through before settling with LG.

Maybe the CoL / inflation / weak pound is catching up to Glastonbury and is impacting American bookings.

Either that or the info is wrong.

The thing is the same could be said for anyone almost. If you put them on at headliner time. Nobody will ever headline to an empty Pyramid field.

    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
