    Aerosmith?

Although the accusations are obviously awful, they’re also… not at all surprising? Like, didn’t we already kind of know about this kind of stuff re: him and almost every other rock star from that time? They’ve more or less all admitted to it themselves in writing in their biographies over the years. Suppose it’s different when we get the grizzly details from a victim rather than the glitzed up, badass rock star stories, but it still amuses me when people act shocked over this kind of stuff.
  2. Wouldn’t surprise me if Coachella is his lone festival and then he just does a bunch of very selective dates elsewhere. I didn’t see him last time round (cause he bailed out of Primavera) but his whole live show didn’t exactly seem tailor made for festivals and seemed like it would’ve gone down a lot better at his own shows. Also just wouldn’t at all surprise me if he bailed out of Coachella. It’d be more surprising at this point if he actually plays.
  3. Zero chance of Glastonbury I’d have thought as I doubt he’s gonna reverse his ‘headliner or nothing’ rule from the last time he ‘toured’, but christ I’d just take any sliver of new music at this point, and it’s gotta be coming soon what with Coachella not far off. Won’t hold my breath for anything coming today… but we might actually be not too far off from hearing something now, finally, and I’m stoked to hear what direction he goes in now after seemingly scrapping his last project a couple of years ago.
  4. We’re not actually expecting MGK to show up are we? I don’t think he’d accept anything less than sub, or maybe even headliner, at this point, and I don’t think a Download crowd would be very receptive to him, but maybe that’s me doubting how much his shitty music has crossed over to a pop/punk crowd.
  5. Fantano: Lots of stuff here to get stuck in to and a bit of a switch up from most other lists, including his #1 album pick that I don’t think I’ve ever even heard of or seen included in m/any other lists.
  6. This is very funny, and incredibly embarrassing for Trump. This guys chances at the 2024 nomination are toast:
  7. I still check out the NME site semi-regularly for general music news etc and they seem to cover a lot of K pop, like far more than you’d expect them to. Must have somebody working for them who’s very invested in it.
  8. Yeah think there may have been a few instances when they fell on old habits again but for the most part they’ve been pretty punctual for their shows since Slash and Duff came back. They’re already gonna be getting a shorter set than they’re used to playing at Glastonbury so no room for them to be taking the piss and turning up late.
  9. NME best albums: https://www.nme.com/big-reads/the-50-best-albums-of-2022-3363070 One guess for who they’ve got at #1.
  10. Yeah struggling to think where Bicep fit in to this. Be absolutely bizarre if they’ve got a daytime main stage slot, but with the NME tent now gone, surely that’s the only place they’d fit?!
  11. That R&L announcement is so shit. Every year it’s getting closer and closer to just being V Festival 2.
  12. I think they’re gonna have a female Other headliner, especially now that they don’t have one on the Pyramid. I know the 50/50 thing just means the lineup overall, but they clearly made an effort this year to make sure female acts were topping at least one night on every main stage, so I think that’ll continue. One of Lizzo or Halsey would be my bet as a counter to one of AM or GnR.
