Area Announcements / Activity

Couldn't think of another thread to post this on so have created one!

Little nuggets like this only add to the excitement for me:

Seems like the engines are being turned on the smaller gems of the festival.

Anyway, anyone want to make a wild guess as to the order we'll receive the individual area announcements in?

We're only about 3 weeks until we can realistically expect them to start.

That Stonebridge tweet got me very excited.

Baggy Mondays have responded to a couple of people (inc. The Thingy).

I think Silver Hayes will be first out of the traps, then maybe a couple of SE corner areas then the glade. I think William Green will have their own announcement as well.

Avalon always makes me happy when they drop their poster.

Yep and that one is usually fairly early. Hoping we might get a few in early April. The dance village area usually do an announcement pretty early as well.

I wouldnt be surprised if they just started with announcements right after the general resale on Sunday. Everyone has their tickets set and they can start to discover whats on tap. It would practically be April anyway.

Randomly I love the SE corner poster drops as I get really excited because it’s a new poster then realise that I’m luck to know one name on there and also have no real interest in finding out more (despite the fact I’ll spend at least 2 nights there). Still just something about type volume of acts at Glasto and the constant information that gets me excited

    • I agree with £410. Looking at the rate of minimum wage increases which will drive a lot of the cost.
    • Avril is the massive crowd pleaser headliner that would sell well on her own.    MGK as lead act would probably be a don’t buy tickets and do a day at trees instead for our group. Given second stage will be heavier and not our sort of thing.   Turnstile would be class. I’ve wondered before if there’s enough crossover for an Idles performance but would think not quite right.
    • Is Zara Larsson even touring next year? Seems like she'd need new music to extend her tour.
    • Given the assumptions and little bits around Madonna, that BST and Paris post is probably right (few weeks later than the original post).   Just adds to the speculation that - they thought they had Madonna, and now they don't.   I can see what's gonna happen here - they end up booking Oasis and Fontaines for 2028. I don't get a ticket, and have to get out of the country + delete all socials.   That would end me if it happened and I wasn't there.
