1st ever Glasto tips?

Hi all, a newbie on here and going to my 1st ever Glastonbury in June and I can’t  wait, like a kid at Christmas.  Getting the coach from Liverpool on the Wednesday and just wondering if people had any tips for stuff to do on the Wednesday and Thursday.  And any other advice for a Glasto virgin?  Thanks.

I'll be on the coach from Liverpool on Wednesday as well, Steve. Wed and Thu are great to walk around the site and get your bearings. Find your best route to and from places you know you'll be spending a lot of time and just have a good old explore, really!

I do get some comfort from you going for the first time and me missing out on tickets. Just smile and enjoy. It's a blast from start to finish. ?

Same here....I just hope that whichever newbie bagged 'our' tickets will respect the place...can't bear the thought that they went to someone who trashes the place and leaves all their sh*t behind.

Best advice is to just wander from area to area drinking in the atmosphere, working out where the different stages are, finding bars with some live entertainment.  You will be totally amazed by the enormity of the place and the incredible sense of friendliness and cameraderie.  When darkness descends it transforms into a magical party.

Don't get your wristband on the hand you wipe with.

Don’t worry I’ll be taking all my crap with me and have already bought my portable urinal for at night ?

Its one of the only places on earth where wellies are as equally necessary as a sunhat/sunglasses. Prepare for both eventualities. Compeeds, socks,  broken-in walking boots etc etc. This is key.

Apart from prep for the elements, don't find yourself a slave to the schedule and don't booze too much and fuck it all up.

come to the efestival meet at the ridge and furrow on Weds

use the lock ups

use the lock ups especially on Weds and Thurs when everyone is hammered and they have their full weekends cash with them.  Bottom of the sleeping bag is no guarantee you won't be robbed.

don't try and keep up with @bennyhana22

don't look for Phillipa's van
