It’s been a few years since I’ve stayed there but they were no more strict than East. If anything they were more relaxed. I don’t think you’d have any issues.

It was but they meant it was a new tent for bands, rather than a tent for new bands. That, along with Other, shows how unimaginative some elements of the festival used to be!

Allowed might be a stretch. I think the travellers area was a bit more loose with rules. It may be my memory but I’m sure there was the odd dog about in 2000.

The helicopter doesn’t seem enough to be the main feature. I was thinking they might mount it on a vehicle to drive around, like the Bug? Perhaps the spider will be replaced with something else entirely? Either way, I think the chances of any spinning metal blades seems fairly remote!

I think the reason it became widespread this year is because those IPs had only previously been assigned to seetickets.co.uk which is less likely to be spotted. This year they were assigned to seetickets.com so easier to notice. While they’ve closed it off for Glastonbury it still works to use the IPs not in use for the main seetickets site, so next time there is a Peter Kay sized sale going on, the main site queue can be bypassed in the same way.

For what it’s worth I’m pretty sure they’ve closed the hole off now. If you try a host file entry with any of the 5x 31. Or 3x 167. IPs you get the queue page. You only hit the real page when using the correct 13. IP. They’ve probably set it to look where you are coming from and if it’s not the correct IP then you get the holding page. I doubt going direct to those IPs for Glastonbury will ever work again. The workaround was so staggeringly simple in technical terms it’s amazing it ever worked at all. They must be paying peanuts at See to employ these monkeys

Nobody seems overly bothered about the poor people who adhere to one tab, one device and let it refresh once every 20 seconds. It’s not an issue to have multiple devices with auto refresh and get 60,80,100 times the chances of someone doing as the festival asks. This Host file entry method isn’t a million miles away from that. I wonder how many people complaining today would have happily used it yesterday if only they knew to?

I’ve not seen them but I’m sure they had to cancel gigs due to Maxim’s voice not being right last year. I think that indicates it’s just him for lead vocal.

I’ll be very surprised if the Prodigy don’t play this year. The other seems perfect for them but I guess they could headline either Woodies or Park. Both would be super rammed though.

Why would this be related to See? Sounds like a GFL management decision.

I can only assume a large enough number are saying they did the confirmation and it got deleted anyway. Otherwise it’s really sh*t on people who are organised and planned around this properly.

When I’ve booked for other groups I’ve used my card and my address for the payment part. If you’re using their card then you’ll need their address.

If the browser still has the swirly wheel to show its loading then never refresh that page. Things that take a fraction of a second to load normally can take seconds during the sale. You don’t want to refresh a page load which was going to work before it has chance to. And for your post code question, it’s the one you’ve registered with not where you physically are at the sale time.

I’m pretty certain the web form will remove any spaces from whatever you put in. Which is a long winded way of saying it won’t care either way.

No I don’t think there has been. It was active for a sort of pre-sale for friends of the festival in past years. Maybe they just haven’t done one this year, or did it via a different method.

I saw Killer Mike play in London last night and he said he’s coming back to play more UK shows. So there is a chance you’ll get half of RTJ and WH is probably the only place he could play (bar maybe the Park)

Saw Killer Mike at the Lafayette last night. I’m unsure about his new solo album but it worked great live. He said he’ll be back to do a tour in bigger venues soon, so I guess an appearance at Glasto is possible. No sign of any RTJ tracks, which was probably to be expected. The first time I’ve been to Lafayette. What a lovely venue! Probably the nicest gig venue I’ve ever been in.
