Me too, I remember Madness expressing a preference for watching the football & giving in between song score updates. Also Roger Waters at Hyde Park for (i think) England Portugal. Texas were on during the game & Sharleen was being very grumpy about it being on a big screen adjacent to the stage.

Didn't go to Finsbury and indeed haven't seen Kasabian since the line-up change, but I do like The Vaccines and some of the songs are still timeless enough to potentially have a peek.

They're better than most of the bands they've supported imo

Got ticket for Ellur late in the year - looking forward to checking it out - the main venue is top - so imn sure this will be great aswell

Nice! Yeah I'm a big fan of the main venue, intrigued to see what they do with the smaller space. Must be pretty intimate given they plan to keep a bar & kitchen on the ground floor still.

High praise indeed. Tbf I've been meaning to check this iteration out - I considered going in 2024 on their last arena tour but couldn't make it work.

 

Though I'm expecting tickets for this to be a bit given I seem to recall those '24 shows were about £75 for standing.
