As Nigel Clough didn't say, I wouldn't say music is the best thing about Glastonbury...but it's in the top one
-
Doesn't really matter now...but do we know which act was 51.05254758326447, -1.7005875500564496 / George Barclay dog beds / "A cat named Anne" now?! It's been bugging me
-
With the four headliners listed, does that mean Fri - Big Thief; Sat - Sampha followed by Jon H; Sun - Mods? Or does it mean one of them is playing on Thursday? Sorry - question already answered above
-
That lineup is stacked! Buzzing!
-
Both Gruff Rhys and Bill Ryder-Jones not playing according to a GM twitter reply. Was hoping BRJ would be there
-
New clue: 51.05254758326447, -1.7005875500564496. Co-ordinates to George Barclay dog beds. Not a scooby - unless it's Fat Dog but that doesn't seem a great clue
-
Just seen that Father John Misty is supporting Kacey Musgraves in the US in September. Probably an unrealistic shout but could he come over to headline GM as a one-off?
-
Hoping for this - enjoying their new album. No radical departure from their trademark sound but some nice songs on there. Hopefully they come over to Europe in the late summer. Could see them being added to the Death Cab day at APE if they do
-
Didn't realise this. Quite intrigued though, do you know what parts of Glastonbury are booked by the GM team?
-
Last year they tweeted on 17 February (a Friday) that the lineup would be out on 1 March. So if they are sticking with 1 March this year, we can expect the 'announcement of the announcement' any time now
-
Unknown Mortal Orchestra playing Project House in Leeds on 4 July (the day before their support slot for the National at Crystal Palace)
-
Air doing Moon Safari in full on 26 June - decent booking
-
Great work. Would love to see Alvvays and Osees, hope your crystal ball gazing there turns out to be right
-
Future Islands' tour dates keep them in contention for GM. They're in Europe in early Aug and only back in North America in September
-
Hope they've booked the Magic Gang - they're playing three "farewell" gigs in the week LAL
-
There was something on Twitter the other week where Mark Watson said he still hadn't been paid for two festivals he did last summer. Judging by the replies, one of them was Standon Calling. I appreciate it's an independent festival but that's poor form and suggests all isn't well as has been suggested above
-
Bit of activity on the GM twitter page. They've updated their profile picture and in response to someone asking when there will be lineup news said: "Dropping in the next month or two. Will have more news soon!"
-
Bloc Party playing Silent Alarm at CP on 7 July. Support from Hives, Friendly Fires
-
Announcements coming thick and fast - Rick Astley, Sheryl Crow and Underworld. Hopefully LCD next 🤞
-
This is my hope too - fingers crossed
-
PJ Harvey, Tom Jones and Tom Odell also announced for Piece Hall
-
Agree that's pretty decent, and could actually tempt me into going to ITP for the first time. Kooks are dross but Future Islands is a good booking for this. Plus solid stuff in Cribs, Mystery Jets
-
Cerebral, esoteric artrock band McFly also now playing Piece Hall
-
Thought it could be useful to have a thread keeping track of gigs announced at the Piece Hall. So far for 2024 the following have been announced: Nile Rodgers & Chic Crowded House Loyle Carner Richard Ashcroft Jess Glynne Fatboy Slim Status Quo Would be great to see the National play there but probably wishful thinking given they've only just played in Leeds

For anyone into shoegazey stuff (MBV, Diiv etc), would recommend Bdrmm
