Celery is absolutely hideous. I think theres some kind of gene sensitivity to it cos some people say it doesnt taste of anything, whereas i can taste a tiny bit of it in a giant plate and immediately want to vom. Its about as wrong tasting as anything i can imagine 🤮

This is my experience with coriander, celery absolutely fine though

There's a YouTube chef I follow who says he has a genetic thing where coriander (or cilantro as the 'muricans call it) tastes soapy when raw. I think that's quite a common complaint for it.

 

Celery, I can take or leave. Raw with hummus isn't too bad, though even there I would prefer bell peppers, but there are other places where celery doesn't work.

Yeah, humans are genetically wired to either like coriander or find it disgusting.
It literally shows up on your genetic code.

I’m intrigued as to why Blossoms standing tickets are £58 in Glasgow, Brum, Cardiff and even London but £70 in Manchester.

 

I don’t claim to know much about pricing but I was under the impression London is generally most expensive? I really like Blossoms but they’re not a £70 band, even in today’s economy.

I wonder if we'll see more things like when (many) years ago Alt-J played the O2 Arena. They absolutely weren't big enough to do on regular pricing but charged I think £17.50-22.50 a ticket and so it sold out.

Because Manc will sell out regardless and they’re nowhere near as big in the rest of the country à la Courteeners

There I was after Muse's tour last week having UK tickets as way pricier than the Euro shows as a weird variation.

 

It's certainly different for London to not have the most expensive shows of a band's tour.

Yeah I've heard that to be the case. So evidently, as I'm on board with it, my genetic code would say I'm cool with coriander.

Probably dynamic pricing? I think they've gone to a 2nd date at the Co-op. - Blossoms that is

Love or hate Blossoms wouldn't call them middling indie tho 

 

Coop shows seem expensive in general, probs the venue rent high to pay for the building costs.

Yeah, I'm no fan of Blossoms but they constantly try and differentiate themselves. 

 

New venues always start expensive btw. Hydro went WAY down after a year.

Have just bagged SOAD at Spurs bottom blocks, VIP seated. More than I'd usually pay but considering it was £370 originally for FV, I'll take it.

Just salt and pepper? That's different.

 

Said elsewhere that for me best thing to put with celery is hummus, but then I think that's just because of wanting to eat the hummus and not wanting a domineering dipping thing.

Its a great shout that. But somertimes you have to do it the other way. For personal reasons I found out in my late 20's there is more to life than work. Still ended up doing overtime etc. Sometime you just have to. 

 

Work to live not live to work.
