  1. Don't like at all that they didn't just admit it being an issue at their end but made it sound like a user error.
  2. Cos a lot of people organise their calendar to have free slot for ticket sale dates, and now are mid air flying etc when the new date happens. People have taken time off work and can't get time off at the new date. People have others helping and now can't arrange the new date/feel bad about mucking helpers about. Etc.
  3. Have sympathy for those whose registrations were cocked up but have zero sympathy to the parties that cocked them up and also left it all til very last minute to postpone the sale. Poor show. Confused why I've already seen several people defending them on socials. Selling a certain % of tickets at a later date would've been a better call.
  4. Insane call. Made sure ages ago nothing clashes on these old dates and now I'm abroad on the new date. Cheers f**ked us up proper there, just gonna pretend never wanted to go in the first place now.
  5. Looking for 2 X Courteeners tickets for London this Friday, if anyone has them and can't go! Also interested in just 1 X, can always try then find a 2nd one somewhere else 🙂
  6. Above is my observations after seeing, up and down the country, Courteeners 20+ times and Blossoms... lost the count after first triple figures 😂 There's overlap but Blossoms have wider appear audience and geography wise is my conclusion from what I've seen!
  7. That 2021 slot was a last min replacement (Machine Gun Kelly, not very like for like lol), I'd imagine if they had been actually booked from the start it'd been for a sub. See, the laddy audience thing is a partial misconception. People who haven't seen Blossoms at their own gigs a lot do think it's just dark fruits folks there but it really isn't, they've a varied crowd both in age and in music tastes, again one thing that makes them different from The Courteeners. Outside the usual mid/late teen and 20s crowd, there's always been a good sized older fan base and a lot of kids like them too, 9-14 year olds. Think it'd all work well with your usual Latitude crowds really.
  8. 3rd is the highest they've done at R&L, in 2021 as a late announced replacement act. I'd argue Blossoms are stronger in the South than Courteeners. Having seen Blossoms both at several places around south and up north, the reception they get in south has sometimes been equal/better to that of north, and they're open as a band to the whole of UK, not like Courteeners who feed off the "we're Northern" energy. Just to be clear I'm not arguing they 100% gotta headline Latitude next year, meant sub/headline with "big slot" in my og post 🙂 next year it will be 9 years since they last played which is bizarre.
  9. Truck was last year tho, they've done Sunday headline at Y not and Saturday headline at Kendal since. I'd imagine their 5th album might be out by next summer. It wouldn't be a safe call to have them headline Latitude but would be great to see it take the risk with them. For headline slots after the likes of Y Not and Kendal, Latitude is kind of the next step. Probs won't happen before they smash a sub slot at R&L tho. A sub slot at Latitude would be nice to see, as they haven't been back since 2015.
  10. Was at Reading this year and last. The carnage left behind is depressing. The amount of poor little pop up tents left behind.. in some spots it was like every tent was abandoned, quick look at it looked like a normal campsite but then you realises there's no one there and just doors left open with litter everywhere. It's not just the cheapness of tents that's the problem, either. Seen lots of bigger, £100/200+ tents abandoned, some slashed up/crushed. Last year saw several DOWN sleeping bags torn open and feathers all over the place... that was especially upsetting as had been saving up to finally upgrade to a down bag myself. What are these parents that buy this stuff for the kids and don't question why it isn't coming back with them... the parents should enforce some "bring it back or no more festivals" thing, with disregard to any fake sob story the kid might tell. The festival should be more active on the campsites themselves campaigning about taking stuff home and environmental aspects of it all, and also about respecting the camping items, respecting other people's property. Respect seems so rare. At the moment it just seems like "green washing". All Sunday night I could hear things being smashed and ripped and annihilated around our tent but not once heard any staff/police stepping in and trying to stop it. Also, they could get the performers engaged, the only artist I heard about saying anything regarding No music on dead planet was Billie Eilish. Do think some enforcement is needed but in the end, really, to create a permanent change, they need to think ways to create a shift in the mentality of the kids, that destroying stuff and abandoning it isn't something standard funny and peer encouraged, but a thing that if peers see it happen, it gets called out by said peers.
  11. The Ladbrokes thing doesn't offer you any code to submit like the OG tickets through NME did does it?
  12. Argh missed out on the initial tickets and now missed out on these. If anyone has two spares let me know 😁
  13. Always have this issue with AXS it's like it doesn't want you to buy tickets...
  14. The Killers crowds on that tour were mostly 30+, leaning towards 40+. Not Reading kind of audience.
  15. Would like to see them give Blossoms a chance for a big slot. They've now headlined a few smaller than Latitude festivals, Y Not, Kendal, and Thurs at Truck. Big Feastival too but that's smaller than the others mentioned. The reaction has been really positive to all of the above. Blossoms have toured south a lot last two album tours and have an audience of varied ages. Plus they haven't played Latitude since 2015!
