  1. Still nothing to get excited about for me.
  2. Yeah first year in a long time I won’t be going. Considering a Friday ticket for Future Islands and Khruangbin but even then I’ll probably see if I can pick up a cheap resale rather than rush now.
  3. Very low on female acts yet again!
  4. Yeah, a big populist headliner on the main stage usually means an excellent headliner on BBC Sounds. Sons of Kemet against Bastille Mogwai against The Killers Placebo against The 1975 Young Fathers against Paolo Nutini Pheobe Bridgers against Lewis Capaldi. So yeah IDLES against Duran Duran would be a dream. Seems likely, they've played it before, a new album is coming. That said the new Duran Duran album is pretty good.
  5. This could actually hurt Latitude. Quite a few overseas bands would come over and play both, might not work out financially to do just Latitude now. We will see. In other news Bombay Bicycle Club have announced a tour in Jan and Feb then a one-off "Summer Show" at Ally Pally on 12th July. It would be a good warm-up for a headline slot.
  6. Based on Melvin’s love of the Boygenius show (I was there, it was amazing). I wonder if we could get a stage takeover like we did with Mumford and Sons a few years ago. Undercard of MUNA, them playing solo, other related acts etc.
  7. Would love to see HAIM finally headline after they were going to in 2020. Bloc Party, Japanese House, Sigur Ros, Courtney Barnett, Ben Folds, Feist, Daughter, Black Country New Road. As starters for ten, all with recentish or upcoming releases to be there at some level.
  8. If you aren't buying your tickets early with some kind of Barclaycard promo then get them from Colchester Arts Centre when they are released. They charge £5 in fees rather than Ticketmaster's £30.
  9. Last year. Can’t remember the numbers but they had a study that claimed that their impact was no better or worse than recyclable cups.
  10. Had a great time. The Murder Capital, Panic Shack, James and Charlie Mackesy were all highlights. Young Fathers may have ruined live music for me though, they were just too good. Only negative for me was how packed the Obelisk was on Sunday, just impossible to find any amount of space.
  11. Map is available on the app. They are continuing their trend of shrinking regular camping at the expense of campervans even though they never fill the space 🙄
  12. Have updated the Clashfinder - https://clashfinder.com/s/latitude2023
  13. Yeah always pretty fun. Everything late night is normally pretty good. Stuff on the Alcove, Outpost is normally a bit more interesting, stuff on the Comedy stage will be more mass appeal. So I tend to head to the Alcove/Outpost see if I'm into whatever is going on there and then head to Comedy if I'm not.
  14. The Last Dinner Party clashing with The Beths is absolutely brutal for me 😔
