Certainly outshone the DC boys on that day. Followed it up with a visit to Concorde 2 in Brighton last week where they were just as good! Their album was all self released and they’ve toured relentlessly for over a year, UK and Europe multiple times without really stopping! 1 hour ago, Hugh Jass said: Picked up a ticket for these in Camden. Sasperella
I've never posted in this thread before. Mostly because everyone knows a lot more about gigs than me and I come here for the tips but... Algiers are great. Blues/rock fusion and so political. They played Leftfield after Fontaines DC and got a criminally small crowd but IMO smashed it anyway. Dates below. If you don't wanna trust some girl you met on the internet on this, the guardian sums it up pretty well: https://www.theguardian.com/music/2017/nov/23/algiers-review-soup-kitchen-manchester One of my favourite discoveries of 2019
FuzzyDunlop
Just bacj from seeing Primal Scream in Blackburn. They were on top form. Only seen them 3 other times to varying degrees of success. This was the best. Get them on the farm if they play like that. Park headliner would be splendid

Would be great to see him back on the farm. Headlined the Ed Stewpot Tent in 1974.

Any idea whether that's the direction they're going with or if that was just a burst of creativity? Either way I might end up at the Manchester date despite (and dont tell anyone I said this) not really liking the pink room as avenue

Everyone I've asked just replies with a ''who are they?''. One of the best bands on the line up, for me.

maelzoid
^ I caught two shows on the last tour. Best gigs I saw last year. Would really like to see him at the festival, but he is historically not too keen (although he did play Werchter recently).

Apparently it's not confirmed yet, it's more that theyr in talks but NIN aren't sure if they want to do their own shows or festivals next year. Supposedly they are in talks with Arcade Fire too. So it's not really a strong rumour but still better than nothing

kevbizarre
Kasabian + Sam Fender have announced a gig in Leicester the weekend before Glastonbury. Last time Kasabian headlined they played Leicester beforehand (which is why I didn’t go then as I would see them on the farm) so history could well be repeating - Other stage headliner on Friday? COI - I’m from Leicester so have a biased opinion on the band as I know they get a lot of grief
