  1. I saw The Deep Blue at All Points East in 2022 and they were not very good, didn't sound much like the recordings. Early days though so may have improved since then. Kingfishr, on the other hand, I thought were naff on record but really enjoyable live at Barn on the Farm. It's a bit sub-Mumford/Bear's Den but they do it well.
  2. Her first solo gig is next month at Jazz Cafe. She's then got Mighty Hoopla and a gig with Sugababes & Melanie C before Glasto so we'll know what her setlists are looking like then. New single with Shola Ama & General Levy is a banger though.
  3. Other evil Thatcherites, I suppose.
  4. Well we've just had the rumour that the evil Lulu is playing there so you're out of luck.
  5. Yeah S Club in Avalon is asking for trouble. I note they were originally playing the IOW tent and have now been switched to the Main Stage.
  6. Someone on the other site had 'info' that Busted were opening Pyramid on one of the days, I think. But I'm not sure how credible that info was.
  7. they're literally on the poster for West Holts so aren't we 100% sure they are there?
  8. Paid. Already looking forward to the social media complaints next week from people who missed the deadline.
  9. Overmono album was one of my favourites from last year. Was really hoping to see them booked.
  10. Going to be properly overcrowded this if he's really playing at 2pm-ish. A must see for me.
  11. Great song. It's used in All Of Us Strangers so perfectly as well.
  12. I did Example and then Skindred/Ho99o9/Alt Blk Era with Bimini on Greenpeace in-between all with ease. Crowd crust is a real issue - there was so much space around the right side of the Glade when Example was on. Could maybe do with stewards directing people into the gaps. Having said that, I think Faithless on Glade Thursday is a disaster waiting to happen. I'll be staying well away.
  13. I've always found The Paul Heaton Songbook doesn't get the respect it deserves overall. So many simple but great pop songs.
  14. Friday - LCD, PJ Harvey Saturday - Little Simz, Michael Kiwanuka Sunday - Burna Boy, Janelle Monae As per the official website
  15. I think this is just the festival responding to shifts in what the audience wants. Even on here, I read so many comments about headliners needing "bangers" or for it to be a "party" so it makes sense that more dance acts are going to end up in those slots. Peggy Gou is an interesting choice - does she play live or is it a dj set? Will be busy for her regardless, I'm sure.
  16. SZA despite the heartbreaking clash with my favourite band. Have wanted to see her for a while, keep missing her & her ticket prices are quite expensive.
  17. Apparently, Idles were booked very last minute - possibly as recent as last week - after they had to do some switching around. I don't think this clash was intentional. Huge crossover there which will eat into both crowd sizes.
  18. Why is that different to clashing two male options? This is exactly what should be happening with a balanced gender split. Female isn't a genre.
  19. Cyndi on Pyramid is great - but someone on Discord had that info months ago so we knew it was coming. I missed her last time around and she's brilliant live so this is a must see for me.
  20. Also saw Say She She over the weekend, although Bristol. Brilliant gig - great fun live. Nia Wynn was not for me though - very Rag N Bone Man type 'soul'. Could see them doing well with that sort of crowd though.
  21. Gossip / Sleaford Mods / Yard Act / Special Guest (TBA)
  22. Thanks for the reply. I have my fingers crossed!
  23. Hey Little Thief, have you heard anything about Anohni & the Johnsons playing?
