  1. I'm thinking of doing the Tame Impala and National dates, I take it my best bet is still to just wait it out and see if I can find some freebies?
  2. In contention: 1975 Kings of Leon (ugh) Metallica Slipknot Just about still in contention: Kasabian Biffy Clyro (unlikely 2 years in a row) Ruled out: Sam Fender RHCP QOTSA
  3. Yeah I do agree tbf. I think it could be a few years before R/L try for them again
  4. In fairness, the pandemic wasn't exactly their fault
  5. Post Malone and Courteeners entered the chat
  6. I swear to fucking Christ if it's Yungblud
  7. Fender's busy that weekend i think

    Shameless Rip-offs

I can't hear the chorus of Jorja Smith's On My Mind without thinking of U2's I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For. Just me?
  9. https://www.insider.com/lana-del-rey-problematic-backlash-timeline-2021-1 Take this with as much of a pinch of salt as you'd like, of course. Plenty of public figures just love to fool around in a controversial way, and that might well be what's happening here. I'm not really sure.
  10. What's the general consensus on Lana Del Rey these days? I absolutely love her music and lyrics but I can't help but feel a bit sour whenever I listen to her. I can't help but not like her as a person. She's a controversial one.
  11. This is a really interesting thread! It's interesting - with the Lostprophets thing, obviously that prick Watkins doesn't get money from their songs anymore, but the other members do. I've heard that they've formed a different band (who deserve support, frankly, as they've had their career demolished by someone else being the bottom per cent of humans in the world). It's just a shame you can't really support/listen to them without hearing a literal nonce's voice plastered on the top of it. I was never a fan of theirs, but if only they could've re-recorded the songs with a decent person on vocals. Anyway, sorry to go off topic. The Smiths are ace. Moz isn't.
  12. MSE is a stretch, but Foals feel like a good booking for MSW. They did a small circuit on small festivals, but pulled a big crowd on the Other Stage at Glasto. They seem to have quite a big, loyal fanbase and are probably a similar size to the likes of Disclosure/Halsey/QOTSA etc who've been booked in past
  13. Insomnia and good memories. Not really sure how to explain that one.
  14. Blur (return), Led Zeppelin (ruled out), Lady Gaga (newbie) Legend: Dr Dre (never gonna happen, but imagine a hiphop themed teatime slot!)

    2023 Headliners

Do we not think Dua seems very likely? Feels nailed on imo, think it's an obvious booking for them
  17. This one is so underrated
  18. Greta Thunberg at the cider bus Monday 4am. I'm not saying she was the coke celeb, but it was wild. She said I'd just missed Taylor Swift.
  19. I'm 24 and witnessed pretty much my dream gig experience. I did exactly the same thing getting in there for the end of AJ and got 3 rows from the front. Bruce and Dave were amazing. Paul was amazing. That set is gonna get talked about in 100 years time.
  20. People talking about George Ezra like it’s a Ted Bundy secret set
  21. How dare a major festival keep up with modern music If you don't like it, there's around 80 more stages you can go to.
