  1. That's a great shout! I'll pop them down
  2. It's a weird take. Foals, Biffy Clyro and Wolf Alice are three of my favourite bands, but one of the best things about Glastonbury is it's basically the only festival in the UK where you can see acts the same level as these guys headlining not-the-main-stage, or slightly earlier in the day, followed by a stadium level act, or whoever you want to see instead
  3. Cheers for the corrections on these! Will amend them for next time
  4. Ah, didn't even check that one. I'll remove it for the next edition. Any more guesses for a Woodsies headliner?
  5. Thanks for the note on Underworld! Will amend that for the next one. Personally I think Mondays are too small for the Other opener slot now. I think them and The Human League are similar to the slot The Lightning Seeds had this year. Once big band, now mildly novelty but a good singalong. Wasn't sure who to put for Friday Pyramid opener. Not sure who's about that's akin to the likes of Ziggy Marley/Bjorn Again/Hacienda Classical/other bands who've played that slot. Good call on that
  6. Given this another go. Can't remember whether we had a day on the info for Stevie/Coldplay. It's pretty much all based around artists who are at least vaguely touring around Glastonbury. Paolo probably isn't sub size, more 3rd down, but with Doja and Olivia likely out (probably waiting to headline in the next couple of years) I wasn't sure which sub size acts were touring so thought we may see a Royal Blood style bump up. Some placings may be off but I hope people have some fun with it! 7. Where do we reckon? Park sub like Sparks last year maybe?
  8. Super cool. Makes you wonder how many of our favourite bands from an alternate reality we've never heard as that videographer was never there. Butterfly effect innit.
  9. The Last Dinner Party are not an industry plant. They're a band who did a lot of work behind the scenes before they played, perfected their live show rapidly, got quickly picked up by a label who have rightfully pushed them hard, because they're great and the album is gonna make the label a lot of money. There's clips of them playing online from before they were picked up by a label. Unless that *is* what an industry plant is, in which case, why is it remotely worth talking about?
  10. Just think it's important to point out these two are not mutually exclusive. Sometimes artists get a big push BECAUSE they're good (i.e., The Last Dinner Party)
  11. Can you imagine if Stevie Wonder got announced as a headliner from something that started as an AI post on Twitter? That would rock this place to its core for years
  12. I'm totally on your side here, but also I've never heard of Hangout festival Alabama
  13. All this said, I would absolutely love to see what a US forum would have to say about say, a Y Not Festival lineup
  14. Way too strong. Looks like one of those mental T in the Park posters from like 15 years ago where they had Beyonce opening the Introducing stage or whatever
  15. Rex Orange County isn't touring, and probably wouldn't play this if he was I'm afraid.
  16. +1 for Foals on Other 2022. Also not the whole show, but the lasers for Tame Impala playing Elephant in 2019 was pretty special. Gutted I've not seen the Chems yet as I know they'd be top.
  17. Happy new year! Here's an updated attempt at this, with help from the new smaller acts thread and the acts touring around Glasto thread. If anyone's ruled out, let me know! 18. Friend of a friend was apparently working backstage on the Other this year. Apparently Lana was being rude to festival staff all day after arriving on site late. They tried to reason with her, then when she was so late and refused to shorten her set, they could've let her finish but she was being such a dick to the stage staff that they just cut it short. Fair enough if true.
  19. To be transparent I also initially downvoted the post as it looked like you were being ignorant towards Sam Smith's pronouns being "they". I then carried on reading and removed my downvote as it appeared you were just unaware of their pronouns (which is fair) and willing to respect it in future. I can't speak for the three you've tagged here but I would assume it was something similar. All the best!
  20. Could Nils Frahm pop up on any of the smaller stages? I want to say somewhere like the Lonely Hearts Club but unfortunately sheer geography rules him out of most areas other than the Park because of how quiet it'll have to be
  21. Hard agree. McCartney too, I was surrounded by a variety of ages down the front. It was ace.
  22. Definitely agree with this. If you look at festivals like Tramlines/Y Not/Truck/Kendal Calling, they're all struggling to find new and exciting headliners. APE have opened the door for the likes of Jungle, Dermot Kennedy and Loyle Carner to all make that step up. Sure it's not their objective to give competitors ideas, but I think it's great that sometimes a smaller act gets a crack at having the same billing as The Strokes/Tame Impala/Gorillaz/Chems etc at a "major" festival

    The Killers

I remember backing out of the Wonderful Wonderful arena tour because tickets were £60. It's insane how much tickets are now.
  24. Thievery Corporation were previously discussed on this thread, they're playing Beyond The Pale in Wicklow the week before Glastonbury! Potential WH sub maybe? edit: and a festival in Athens the week after! Surely this is the one!
