Vaccination update, the figures updated today don't include Scotland so I shall do the weekly stats tomorrow when they get updated.

Given the way we measure covid deaths its unlikely we will ever see 0 deaths specially with testing so high.  We really do need to change the way we record covid deaths.

not so sure ... won't be long if we are to find out .... wales and scotland have been reporting 0 death days I think ...

While this data is very encouraging, I'm questioning where these nearly 100 people that are still going to hospital with Covid are coming from.

Anti-vaxxers, unlucky youngsters, or the vaccine not working on an unlucky few?

Could they be people going into hospital for other things and testing postive, but with no covid symptoms ? Not sure, not close enough to how all this works, but a possibility ?

Yeah was going to say this - asymptomatic with other things testing positive on admission or even precautionary admissions for vulnerable people who've caught it despite vaccines and have just mild symptoms too maybe? (The unlucky few!)

Young people still get hospitalised with it. It's also quite possible that as space frees up more people with severe but not life-threatening symptoms are being referred to hospital with it.

Pandemic getting absolutely slaughtered by the vaccine. Devi Sridhar in tears as she realises her year of paid TV appearances is about to come to an end. You love to see it.

Your beef with her is weird and creepy.

    • Thing is, I'd have said that as well.   But then she inexplicably ended up on the Wilderness lineup and that changes everything. I reckon if that goes well, which it will, then she's very much in the picture.
    • This has probably been discussed a hundred times already on efests but what constitutes a legend? I know some of it is my age but I don't see eurithmics or Duran Duran as legend status. Neil young or nils lofgren then yes and neither of them have overly troubled the charts. Duran Duran and indeed the eurithmics I would put in the 80s category and whilst it would be ok (human league at isle of wight we're fabulous) they just arent in my mind legend status.  Zombies played same festival- i would take that.
    • friendly tonight delayed , pitch draining pretty quick to be fair .... not sure it bodes well for other games with potential fixture backlog
    • Never happen, but an Annie Lennox solo or Eurythmics reunion would make me very happy.
    • Burnham going to go blue labour to ensure he wins makerfield and gets enough nominations from the PLP. How he’d govern is anyone’s guess. Odds on to win anyway so guess we’re not too far away from finding out.
