I am sitting in on my own tonight watching the telly. I live on my own & most of my mates have kids. We had a massive party on Saturday. Its much easier for them to get a babysitter at the weekend rather than tonight.

I had kind of been dreading tonight... (being in on my own on NYE), but now it's here, I am actually very happy to be in.

I have a dominos on the way...  life could be worse.

Happy new year to everyone.

A happy new year to one and all.

I can honestly say that this forum is an oasis of common sense and cameraderie in the cesspit of chat rooms, discussions  etc that now blight the internet. We seem to be able to be informative, exchange opinions, have banter, talk freely without causing offence. It’s as if the spirit of the festival lives in all of us.

Aw ra best, huv a guid wan

PS. If you are singing auld Lang syne don’t say for the sake of.

We’ll tak a cup o kindness yet, for auld Lang syne!

Happy New Year one and all.

Partying by myself tonight after spending the day cooking in preparation for the children & grandchildren coming over here for lunch tomorrow. Lunch will be preceded by the Annual Duck Races on the brook through the village - the ducks are plastic and no animals are hurt in the making of this event; although last year we were joined by an otter in the brook which was an amazing sight.

It's almost exactly like this

Happy New Year everyone, wherever you may be!

Although I've been sporadic on here since October, I still use this forum an immense amount.

I hope 2020 brings everyone everything they want, and for those who don't buy into the whole new year thing: have a boss Wednesday tomorrow!

And to 2019/Tuesday...

Wishing you all a Very Happy New Year 🥳

2019 was a pretty good year for me, but really, really looking forward to what 2020 brings.  It’s got a lot going for it already seeing as I will be at Glastonbury for my first time.  😄

Hopefully I will get to meet all of you next year, including those of you who are hoping to get tickets in the resale - best of luck to you.

Best wishes to all, and may the New Year bring you all good fortune. 🍀

    • Very different in terms of time of game,  yet remember how excited I was before the first game in Euro 2016 having grown up not sure I would ever see wales in an international tournament. That day scraped a win against Slovakia and was just happy to see wales score and win at a tournament, little did I know we would finish in the top 4. Hope Scottish fans get the same experience.

    • Jesse Malin was just fantastic at Union Chapel tonight.   now.. back to Le Mans...
    • I don't think I'm alone as a Scotland fan that there is no way that I could possibly fall asleep knowing we're about to play our first World Cup game in 28 years! Pure adrenaline is keeping me wide awake (and plenty of rum)!
    • Trying to stay awake for the footy so it’s just the easy option of a battery😊😉
