Arcadia?

As being discussed in the maps thread FYI. @Fork_UK pointed out this structure going up in Arcadia. Along with that, message my Glasto veteran mate sent to our group the other day (Hannah being his fiance):

"Hannah’s brother is mates with the owner of Arcadia. They're building a hanging structure with a massive crane and other spangly bits, they’ve had to put piled foundations in."

Could this tie up Rob Da Banks visit to the farm?

don't think so.

My take is that the 'new project' was his podcasts, and the visit to the farm was to interview Emily - and that the 'project' was nothing to do with the festival itself.

Which ended up being a bit of a damb squib as he had promised exclusives and some exciting information, what we were given was way short of excitement. I did enjoy Emily's old stories about her growing up with the festival but Rob Da Bank seemed to be all smoke and no fire.

Yeah I gave up on that series.  It was Rob Da Bank interviewing some of his old mates, who, because they are still in the industry, gave nothing away.

    • Chaka can, or Chaka can't?
    • TVOD are playing Blue Basement in London 2/9 with a complete EOTR/Psych Fest shaped hole before their next gig in Lyon on 8/9. Well received in the Big Top last year, reckon they're nailed on for a secret set in the Tipi.
    • Didn't they widen the entrance last year to enable them to increase the number of pitches or have I imagined this? Perhaps they might return under a different form of glamping?    Just had another thought - Or even rent the land to the festival for CV pitches.......
    • It should forever be the Tipi.   Just as the news about Geese was shared on Twitter.
    • It really surprised me that Rock AM Ring made Download feel like an extremely well organised festival with good communication in comparison. If we were to ever try either of them again we would go for IM Park and stop in Nuremberg.     Agree that the long thin mainstage isn't great, but where the mainstage is makes it really hard to navigate when it is busy because of that choke point created by the food vendors, bar/lounges with a view of main and where the crowd is coming form second stage. The concrete is hard on the joints. The front standing is a pisstake and the communication from the fest about what is happening on site other than which campsites are filling up leaves a lot to be desired. Car parks being a free for all doesn't help either.   I think it really suffers being so far from anything other than small towns/villages that lack proper public transport and Koblenz being the closest town which you can can use to get public transport to the fest being 60km away.
