  1. Carl Cox was on at 23:00 & then Faithless DJ at 00:30 last year for reference https://clashfinder.com/s/g2023/
  2. Glade lineup got a lot more names that I'd see compared to usual. A Mall Grab or Chaos in The CBD at 2am could do wonders for crowding I reckon. Might even make for a good night where I cba to venture to SEC for a night & have a much shorter walk back.
  3. It's very conflicting these days. I'm sure I've been to bands who have some monsters in the closet that I don't know about. Maybe if social media had existed back then, could have brought issues to light. I'm always quite torn on the Artist v Art, ethics conversation. Kanye is always the best example I find when talking about with friends. Can I still listen to his old work but ignore the newer music he releases? Should I not listen to anything of his at all? Arcade Fire's Will Butler had some allegations a while back, I didn't pay too much attention but I know there's something there. Would I actively pay a ticket for a show/merch? No. Would I see them on the farm? Maybe if nothing else is on. I didn't know about these recent TDCC issues. I probably don't have them at the top of my must see, but if they played at a time with nothing else on I might consider it. If I was there I'd probably tell my friends I'm with what you've told us, spread awareness. Artist v Art again. But then you look around & some artists with terrible reputations have sold out stadium shows. The public often just don't care. So then you're stuck in your own personal dilemma, fighting an uphill battle. Like separating your hard and soft plastics or going vegan. Believing in your moral compass, amidst a majority of the world who dgaf.
  4. Not sure if the current state of the weather is a good sign or not. I'm believing that the weather gods are getting all of it out of their system now & we're in for some special times ❀️
  5. Last year were the acts who played the secret stage at Platform 23 on the lineups or not? I somehow missed that secret stage completely, despite going there 3 times.
  6. Interesting, wonder if there was any pressure to open a stage up to everyone to (slightly) ease up crowds in places? Just wonder if Emily had any power to say, close it down or open it up?
  7. A glimpse into what'll be popping off before Justice
  8. Any chance they'd do Arcadia? Better crowd control, but would depend maybe how the new(?) stage handles Visuals.
  9. Poutine, Bayou, Duck Truck would leave me happy. The crumpet place was a great 11pm snack on the way to SEC. Raclette would be nice but after no show last year, not holding out too much. Mexican Seoul is also good, usually not too busy as it's in that odd middle ground area by BBC Introducing.
  10. I reckon these guys could get a decent slot at Silver Hayes
  11. This is lively! They'll never forget this night!
  12. Last year seemed like the highest chance of getting Aphex, he was doing the festivals tour with a new EP. I do think that he had put his name down but backed out in the end. Hard to imagine him coming out the woodworks just for Glasto.
  13. Expect to see more phones than dancing & chants of the like of "Peggy! Peggy! Peggy F*cking Gou!"
  14. Didn't see that, good to know, cheers! Then yeah, hoping they factor his popularity & put up some Confident clashes. Would hate to miss ConMan, but caught them twice before, so would gladly take the clash on the chin over a packed like sardines Barry
  15. Can only remember one year ages ago it was fully shut, with all the led traffic signs saying "SEC at max capacity, go elsewhere". Didn't notice it last year. Could have been a Thursday from what I remember. They do sometimes stagger entries, both at the bit where you do the funnelling/the high 5 & also the bit where you cross the train tracks from Rum Shack into ShangriLa. Making you wait a few minutes before letting you through in waves. To me it felt busier last year & didn't even feel like it ever died down anywhere, even at 4am from wherever I was.
  16. Didn't we say the same thing about Wet Leg?
  17. Live, looks like it's him on the pads with a drummer? Solo DJ Also just remembered that he did a killer b2b with Salute which I'm now hoping could be repeated somewhere on the farm. Thursday Levels would be πŸ’«
  18. Love the thought of a bunch of the Fred Again crowd getting up for Four Tet's Morning Side hoping Fred might secretly show up πŸ˜‚
  19. Give me this at Genosys or Levels at 2am & NOT on the Thursday & I'm happy Would also be very keen to see OnceTwice (fka Parallels) somewhere, but assume if they get booked would be a daytime slot that could clash with a band, as they're still relatively new/upcoming
  20. Barry's the biggest one I can see. Will it be worse than Wet Leg? Avril will be fine imo, Rag & Bone man had more hype imo. Biggest I've ever seen that field. Didn't consider Justice at first, but agree it will be busy, can't imagine it being dangerous though. But might be underestimating how many people are into them & don't have an alternative thing to watch.
  21. Doubt I'll make it to Jamie XX, most likely to stick with the gf for Dua. Never heard much of his sets that's out of this world. Barry should be a good one, but gonna need to head early, rammo incoming. Romy vs Two Door is tough, seen them both now. & I'll probably checking in on Avril already for a laugh. 100% there for Justice, missed this slot last time. Saw them at Brixton & was superb. Now we wait for the E&D posters, to add further headache to these clashes.
  22. Grainy 2019 footage from my archives, HAAI dropping Nathan Micay - The Party We Could Have Still stands as some of the most stunning 3D mapping I've been able to see. https://imgur.com/a/ES7PwJp
  23. Do we reckon it's a 1 to 1 rebuild (since some was taken by mold from what I read)? or Genosys 2.0, taking inspo from the original with new ideas sprinkled in?
  24. Lovely read Benny. Quite ashamed I still haven't made the trek to FOLD. It's just so awkwardly located for me that it's that off-putting for my lazy bones. Next poster I see that I'm keen on, I'm there.
  25. +1 Bicep IICON. They've already done Arcadia, imagine they're having fun going around the different stages. Overmono had their own visuals, Bicep should be able to too.
