I've just been rewatching the Wet Leg set, as various friends posted on my FB that could see me down the front (and i'm there, for a few frames at least π ) and the set has brought a tear to my eye, it was so good, set of the decade for me.

Good to speak to @deebeedoobee and @pilton digger hope I wasn't babbling too much, met a few friends earlier and had a 'few' beers in the sun π

i think i'm parked behind you, or a few rows back, i'm near the hedge, close to the singular tree on said hedge

Marvelous stuff, thanks for this thread π

2016, being towed -in- to the site because of the mud: the ground was still sittable in places though: the better drasinage just meant it was the slippery stuff not the deep sticky stuff and it stayed dry enough for me to have a push about on the skate ramp π

2007, it was grim. I think this was after The Who had finished, it was steadily raining all through the gig, and when they finished, the crowd just -vanished- loads of stuff left, like everyone just popped out to get another beer. still had an amazing time though π

it's just across the railway from Avalon, it's the field you'd go through if you were walking from unfairground to the stone circle.

plenty of people squeeze in a tent on their pitch, two of those little pop up things if you don't have an awning, but four would be massivly pushing it π
-
each 'pitch' gets enough room to put an awning up next to the van/caravan and a gap between pitches for a fire break, then a drivable gap between rows so the fire brigade can get in if needed. If you're in the way, the tents will get moved by camp staff. This isn't to be mean, its so in an emergency, services can get where they may be needed.

bear in mind the crew bars have their own beer supplier arrangements, what they sell may not be what the main bars sell. eg the 'running with sceptres' and 'wanna go to the sun' are both Lost and Grounded brewery beers (a few miles from me in Bristol) and they for sure aren't geared up to supply a 200000 person festival π

This is a more sensible thread, thats for sure π

whoops, it was a while ago ok π

David Tennant was on stage with Orbital, of that counts

I have finally got round to making some hopefully decent pint carriers. For years i've been moved to anger by either having to struggle carrying three floppy paper cups or take the 'will they all fall on the floor' four cup paper holders and so every time i spill beer i vow to make my own, and every year i forget UNTIL NOW. nothing complicated, thin ply and a hole saw, but I'm hoping they will work π I have tested them with the five cups all full and it works, though you need both hands to stop the carrier flexing too much, which is why there is no pic π extra small hole is for a caribinier / tie / velcro etc π tape round the outside is an anti splinter feature.

also listening while I print some maps and update my clashfinder π

I'm in WSM, and the fog was quite nice, as fog goes π I did a 'trial run' for the solstice sunrise on Tuesday - this is from Sand Bay looking towards the Severn Bridge this morning at 4:55AM: Hopefully I'll see the sun rise properly on Tuesday
