    2023 photos

Same photos as in other threads, but hey ho 🙂 My bike at Gate C earler, and the view out my caravan door at about 10:30 this evening 🙂
  3. Gulping Gull is a fake account run by some loser who wishes he was cool in real life, don't bother interacting 🙂

    Blister!

As a blister sufferer, double socking (not a euphemism) seems to help me - less foot rubbing you see.
  5. Note: the 'daily' paper is free (on thursdays and sundays) but the custom prints are not - they will have a selection for sale in the tent, you'll have to visit to see what, I doubt they are printed yet 🙂
  6. Lashed down at Gate C at about 8pm ish, cleared up by 8:30, so I cycled over to the Hill - loads of people just watching the queue form. The site looks busy already, ten - ish hours to go 🙂
  7. it's been pushed back nearer and nearer the hedge each year, only seemed to be a few rows last time.
  8. Also in E17, against the fence, so a good spot. ground is rock hard 🙂
  9. All set up 🙂 (got here ages ago but faffing with solar panels 🙂 )
  10. Packed and offf shortly 🙂
  11. Many thanks again for doing this thread, always makes me smile 🙂 I will buy you both a drink at some point if possible 🙂
  12. This will probably change 😄 but it's looking like there might be a break in the cloud for the Wednesday sunrise, I'll be in East Camper by then, so I'm not sure what sort of view I'll have, but it'll be nice to celebrate the sunrise
  13. Thats amazing 😄 😄 also: "kingfishers chuff" - pretty sure I've seen that on the Farrow and Ball colour chart.
  14. Last year it was on the tuesday, so I got up at 4AM (!) drove a few miles to the headland near me, then walked a mile to get some pics: then I went back home, had a few more hours kip, then up again at about 10am, then left for the festival 😄
  15. ah man, i had a quick look online last night and didn't see that, but looking this morning, theres a short article on the worthyfm facebook posted only a few weeks ago: https://www.facebook.com/worthyfm a great shame 😕
  16. Their twitter doesn't seem to be updated that often, but maybe ask there? also, I can't see Teacha on this years lineup? literally only know him from worthyfm, been listening years 🙂 got a shout out last year too, hopefully he's on at some point
  17. Last nights rain was loud enough to wake me up in my house, but by the time I emerged for coffee this morning, everything is bone dry again. My lawn appears to be a tiny bit greener, but that could be my imagination 🙂
  18. non FB link for the 'official' one: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/ravers-2-runners-greenpeace-from-tent-to-5k-glastonbury-fun-run-tickets-651960099207
  19. Same here, I'm going to use the weekend to pack properly, do a shop, recheck I know where my ticket it (still hung on the wall 🙂 ) and generally worry about something going wrong in some way 😄 So I'll probably do some more short walks to wear in my old boots (put in some new comfy insoles) but no more big cycle rides - coming off and hurting myself this close to the festival would be rubbish! It's also a good 'pause' in my aim of moving at least 10km a day this year - yesterdays big ride took me ober 3650km for the year to date, so I have technically met my goal and can veg out for the rest of the year 😄 But while the weight isn't falling off as fast as I'd hoped, I do feel so much better than six months ago, so I'm going to keep at it after the festival too (and possibly during, I'll have my little 'shopper' bike to get me around the site if the ground conditions stay amiable) Biggest thing is to try and prevent blisters, I never seem to be able to avoid them, by saturday i'm limping 😕
  20. Glastonbury Festivals could easilly handle it - the question is 'do they have to?' Would a new system save money vs what is in place right now ?
  21. Tell me you don't know anything about IT without telling me you don't know anything about IT.
  22. lol and do these magic ethernet cables also handle the thousands of database queries a second as well? or would there need to be a metric sh*t ton of extra backend server infrastructure to run all this as well? (spoiler: yes) It's perfectly feasable, but incredibly unlikly to be a benefit based on cost and time to build.
