Which cinemas are you thinking of in Brum?

There's one behind Byron burger on New Street, and another behind Chic nightclub/everything on that round corner on Pagoda Island. They frontages have been completely changed, but both theatre rooms are still there.

Yeah and now eerily free the week of Glasto after a date in Germany. But theyre out of contention for Reading and Leeds due to the North American dates beginning on the bank holiday weekend. So Download exclusive?

Download have already announced their headliners, so unless they’re gonna turn up at Glastonbury (which I was championing in 2020 but probably isn’t very likely) I don’t think there’ll be any U.K. festivals for them next year. Reading/Leeds or Download 2023.

Just booked Get Cape Wear Cape Fly tickets for September.

 He's playing The Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager in full, which just happens to be my favourite album of his. So happy deebee here.

Good on ya - fantastic album! Saw him a few years ago playing it in a barn on the coldest night of the year. Had to wear coat, scarf, bobble hat & had to stand by the bar because I couldn't hold my pint as it was so cold. Still a great gig though! 🙂

Highly inevitable, but The National gigs have been cancelled.

Gutted about this, one of my favourite bands playing in my favourite venue. Hopefully they give Brixton another go next year.

Cancelled outright?

Dang. Was hoping for a reschedule.

Yep, message below;

‘We're disappointed to cancel our 2021 dates, but we look forward to returning to Europe and the UK in 2022.’

So it sounds like they're planning on coming back next year, just maybe not to Brixton. Refunds being processed.

Ours has been rescheduled to 10th June 2022, sure yours has not just been postponed too?

Ah, just saw your reply. That sucks 😞

    • No dramas man, I just like to follow others journeys as well. Get the inspiration, give out inspiration and the outdoors is the clear the head place to do it. I'm heading out for a easy trail run today I think, 10k- 10 mile we'll see how we go. I've got a half marathon in October I'm well unprepared for hahs
    • The Cheap Thrills at Mountford Hall, Liverpool.    They've been around for a while and have built up a large local following. Last night was their biggest yet, at a sold out 2,200 capacity venue.    It was a big old joyous, indie singalong from start to finish, the band clearly having the time of their lives. The debut album is out next month and they seem to be going down well on the festival circuit, maybe their time has finally come.   2 supports, I unfortunately missed Credits but the few songs they have on Spotify sound good, Americana vibes. The other was M60, reportedly Gary Neville's favourite band. If that's true, he's as clueless about music as he is football. To be fair, their sound was poor, maybe with a clearer sound they'd have been better but it was pretty dull.
    • I can see them all merging along with the Tory’s . Restore curently couldn’t muster enough candidates to be a viable option . I lasted 4 mins and couldn’t watch any more . Lowe is just dull along with racist
