2019 Headliners

So Stormzy is Friday, but do we *know* know that The Cure is Sunday? Meaning the third headliner has to be Saturday? Or is that just the only day The Cure is free so basically they have to be Sunday if we believe they are playing at all? Thinks that's it innit.

Edit: confused myself

They're free on the Saturday and Sunday but aren't doing back to back dates in different countries at all on their tour (they're in Belgium on the Friday).

The person on Twitter who said Macca had pulled out said it was The Cure Saturday and Macca Sunday, but at the same time someone on here who'd also heard Macca had pulled out had heard they were the other way around.

Consensus is that The Cure are most likely Sunday.

The Cure are free Saturday and Sunday, but aren't doing any back-to-back nights anywhere on their current tour, and are already playing somewhere (Belguim?) on Friday night, so very likely won't play on Saturday.

Cool, okay, so it's best guess not set in stone still... I know everyone thought they seemed an odd "Sunday locals act".

I definitely want to start spreading a rumour that Macca will just jump on the plane post Vegas and head straight over...

I'm the opposite, I think they'd be a weirder choice for Saturday night which is the largest TV audience. I don't think The Cure are that odd for the locals, really.

In fairness, we can't say Wednesday America finish, Glastonbury Saturday wasn't tight going.

Not even close imo. JayZ, The Verve are undoubtedly headline acts and the kings of leon were pretty much at their peak at the time. as I say imo no comparison.

I dunno. I'd certainly peg The Cure as a bigger act than The Verve. Were they touring round Europe headlining festivals all over the place in 2008?

Both dreary has-been rock acts, but at least The Cure do have a handful of pop bangers in their back pocket.

Collins is a bit rubbish, but I don't have a deep hatred of him. Now when it comes to Sting, @fatyeti24 really does have some feelings.

He did an album with Shaggy, he's gone up in my estimations.

If it was going to be Macca and ends up being Phil Fucking Glass Back Collins I'm going to be really rather upset. The twat faced, whiney voiced, Tory gobshite.

I read that in Will from The Inbetweeners voice when the french exchange student was in bed with the girl he fancied.

    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
