  1. I'd only been queuing for 30 mins on Wednesday when I realised that my tent was no longer attached to my rucksack... After accepting that I'd be spending the next 5 days sweating in a tent with my mate, I saw a steward carrying my tent to the shelter. There was an announcement on the tannoy asking if anyone had lost a tent, so I called another steward over and he went straight over to collect it. He then came back with the wrong tent but happily went back to get mine. Didn't catch his name, but what a hero! All the staff were incredibly helpful all weekend, really made a difference.
  2. Tame Impala were never going to be placed anywhere else but I was slightly disappointed they had to tone back their production. In the run up to the festival, KP had suggested they'd be bringing their full stage setup with the 'UFO' used at Coachella and their arena shows. I'm sure he said something like 'Glasto is one of the only places big enough to host it'. I was surprised to hear this considering the Other stage is a pretty standard festival stage. The huge screens used at Coacehlla were also obviously never going to be at Glasto but they do really add to the performance. Still the highlight of the festival for me though!
  3. Was hoping for Khruangbin but looks unlikely now
  4. Saw them at Sziget a couple of years back and was massively disappointed. Although, I was towards the back and the crowd weren’t really in to it. Fingers crossed they win me over this time.
  5. Extremely surprised not to see any of: DMAs Kali Uchis Mac Demarco Khruangbin Tash Sultana Beach House I thought at least 3 of those would be dead certs to crop up.
  6. New Foals https://youtu.be/XDlPqNNIvV4
  7. Wolf Alice announced for Standon Calling. Surely now a favourite to headline the Other after the previous rumour?
  8. They almost certainly will tour again. After What Went Down they first did a bunch of smaller shows and then did the arenas.

Fair enough, maybe it was a stretch to say definitely but you can make a strong case for Foals.

Id say it’s pretty even. Outside of Shut Up/Blinded by your grace & Big for your boots I don’t think The average listener would recognise much else. Probably a similar story with Foals - My Number/Mountain at my gates/What Went Down

Probably not Tame Impala no, you could only really argue ‘The Less I Know The Better’. Definitely Foals though

By name I’d say so but not by his music.

I don’t think they are at the moment either, but the Stormzy booking shows there’s no agreed upon formula for a headline act nowadays.

They may not be the biggest mainstream act in the world but they’re definitely not polar opposites. They’d never be headlining Coachella if they weren’t mainstream. Id be very surprised if they’re at Glasto this year but the Stormzy booking means you can’t discount these types of acts in the future.

Most people would have said the same about Stormzy a couple of months ago...
