I've seen Bastille a couple of times at GF. Full disclosure - I quite enjoyed it. Both times. So there!

An upvote for bravery :P

Heard too much of them on the radio, annoys me. But things tend to improve while intoxicated in a crowd and hearing songs you haven't heard for quite a while (thankfully)...

First two were solid 7/10s for me. West Ryder a bit worse, Velociraptor! worse than that, 48:13 honestly one of the worst albums I've heard, and For Crying Out Loud a tiny bit better than that. I'd rank them as follows:

1. Kasabian (7/10)

2. Empire (7/10)

3. West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum (6/10)

4. Velociraptor! (5/10)

5. For Crying Out Loud (4/10)

6. 48:13 (3/10)

Why am I ranking Kasabian albums on eFests? I don't know. I did actually listen to them all again earlier this year in the lead up to Mad Cool as I was giving a fair chance to all the acts playing.

Generous.

There's people on this forum who talk about how the Pyramid field bouncing around to Kasabian was 'dull' and that watching Thom Yorke mumble his way through track after track 'went off', smh.

My dad had a ticket to Radiohead at Old Trafford, watched the start of their Glasto set, told me it sounded like funeral music and then didn't come to the Old Trafford gig (not for that reason but I don't think he wanted to go after seeing the Glasto set).

Glad to see Billie Eilish is doing major festivals. Given she's 16, i didn't think she'd put herself under that pressure. That girl is going to be fucking massive if she carries on as she's started. Hoping she pops up on Park next year.

I assume she'll be celebrating her GCSE results like everyone else there.

That R+L poster is grim. It has also made me feel extremely old as I don't know half of the names on it! The one's I do know are pretty shite as well. Bastille are awful, the Mrs tried to drag me to see them a few year back- I went elsewhere after 2 songs which was more than generous i thought.

a couple of names weren't even in the efests bands database, and there's about 100,000 bands in that.

Out of nothing more than curiosity, has that been compiled by yourself over the years or was it acquired through some sort of data bank?

    • yet in Brazil they spent the money to give her the staging so her show could be done just like in the arena. And Madonna does not compromise on that sort of thing. So money was def secondary if they got into the last phase of finalizing the booking and it fell apart when it came to production. Which is t that far fetched with her anyway.   When she did the Super Bowl, just a couple days beforehand she had the idea of wanting to rappel down from the top of the stadium to start the performance and they had to tell her there was no way it could be pulled off cause nobody makes a change like that so last minute.
    • :  Laughs in American again :    its $200 usd here for standing. Not even counting the $500 premium seats they sold yesterday.  Upper levels are $100 usd for the cheapest on average.
    • It's funny that Burnham says all this stupid corbynite or blue labour or blairite or whatever sh*t but still everyone wants him because he's a proper northern lad who wears t-shirts and there's no way can have Streeting because he's apparently a massive transphobic zionist in the payroll of private health companies and palantir even if he is maybe actually offering what many liberal lefties would prefer but he can't be trusted, I mean..look at him.
    • Burnham has hinted he supports compensation for waspi women...err...so that's nice.....
    • Chelsea, 10 years of cheating, dodgy agent payments, breaking financial rules, etc: £10m deferred fine, no points reduction   Everton, 1 year of narrowly breaking financial rules: £40m payment, due immediately, having already been docked 10 points (reduced on appeal).
