Becx99
What does everyone recommend? What's everyone's thoughts? i wasn't sure if wellies or walking boots would be best or not?
Hugh Jass II
You're best waiting until a day or two before you leave and checking the weather forecast. If it's dry then trainers all the way.

Twiggy553
All three: -wellies when the mud is liquid -walking boots when the mud is thick enough to pull wellies off your feet -trainers when it’s dry
Spindles
I'm in the walking boots camp, with trainers being the preferred option when conditions allow.

Different footwear is suited to different ground conditions. One isn't superior to the other.

t0paz
Wellies are a last resort. Don’t think I used them in 2016 as boots were fine. And more comfortable!
mazola
Wellies not needed IMO, not since I started going in 2008 anyway. I take walking boots and trainers

northernringo
I'm taking the coach so no room for wellies. Going to bring a pair of trainers and a pair of boots.

I take walking boots and trainers I've been to every muddy Glastonbury in the last 20 years, and have yet to come across a situation where appropriate boots wouldn't cope and wellies would be necessary. I guess you could make a case for 205 if you needed to actually wade through the floods, but even that was very localised (and so avoidable), and would only apply on the Friday. Yeah, you might have to walk round a few big puddles rather than through them that's all.
squirrelarmy
I didn’t take wellies in 2011. Thought boots would be enough even with a bit of rain. I ended up buying wellies on site as my boots were completely soaked through on day 1.
cheesey_toastie
Been to some of the most horrendous ones. Walking boots all the way - and a pair of trainers for if it's nice. Wear the boots for the journey because they are heavy. Trainers in the bag. Wellies rub, smell and require football socks.
Crazyfool01
when the other stage field was a lake wellies were very useful thankfully the drainage has been improved since then
