Booked our coach tickets, nice little 5am arrival 🎉 Had to check with the rest of our group first though and three have dropped out now which is disappointing

Good news for the resale crew though @crazyfool1 though

Uploaded my poetry showreel to Youtube so I can apply for a place performing on Poetry & Words.

If anyone wants to watch and comment it would be appreciated!

Here's the link, although I'll delete it in a day or two as I'm a bit secretive about linking this account to my real identity!

Up in the loft and Brought down the air beds and sleeping bags just to check them.  Found a quid in one of the bags. Air beds inflated perfectly. Considering buying those ultra light folding camping chairs that easily fit in a back pack. Don’t panic, not turning into a chair w*nker or a picnic rug user taking up valuable pyramid field space but just a wee seat around the site for eating and resting between acts especially if it’s muddy.  Age beginning to catch up on us!  Any recommendations for these chairs? Ideal also for the worthy view tents.

Just purchased the same. Last few years one of our lot has brought one, and we all ended up using (needed) it, so only fair.

I went for this one, as has bigger feet to avoid sinking (you can also use half tennis balls, or disused paper cups)

Yes - I switched to a proper camp bed about 7 or 8 years ago and am a vocal advocate of them.

Even the basic 15-20 quid from Argos or any Camping Store type are a vast improvement on an airbed and not much heavier - the only downside being that they're a bit narrower than I'd like which may or may not be a problem depending on how you sleep.

Because of that, I switched to something a shade wider - specifically a Kampa Slumber Plus which is the same design but a bit bigger and heavier.

Can also get ultralight models made of aluminium, which I tried out but felt were quite unstable.

The only downside I currently have is that if you're pitched on stony ground then there's a risk that the metal legs on one side and stone on the other will cause holes in the bottom of the tent - not a problem at Glastonbury or most festivals but I did experience that at Boomtown.

Several of now use these with a good SIM, and they are by far the best we've tried. And believe me, a lot have been tried. Good enough for 2+ weeks continuous use on summer hols. I guess their festival practicality comes into dispute, what with size & pump. But we all camp adjacent to campervans, so all kit is ferried in.

I’ve got these and used it for one night and found it like a torture device ? What did you do that I didn’t ?

Bought a small battery pack, for carrying around during the day to keep the phone topped up.  Plan to drip charge it back up at night. Saves on lugging a brick around all day and takes away all the battery anxiety.

My trick is to put it on charge a bit when you get back to the tent, turn it off and then plug it back in the morning as I'm getting up and ready.

I've started putting money aside for the festival and next weekend I'm getting my camping stuff out for the first time since September 19 making sure it's all good and making the first list

It might be me, but I've read that four times and I don't get it. Do you mean your phone, or a day battery? Why are you plugging things in in the morning? Do you only have one lead/port and you're swapping things around?

I don't understand at all.
