You may well have already seen it but if you’re into The Dandy Warhols and BJM then this is well worth a watch. I’ve seen them a couple of times and they were alright live but they seem quite hit and miss, they play pretty long sets too from what I remember.

Cheers! I know it's meant to be good, but I've never seen it and didn't actually know it was about The Dandys as well as BJM. I'll defo aim to give it a watch this week.

There must be one dodgy New Order album he hasn’t played live in full yet? The ‘Get Ready’ Tour?

Would anyone be interested though mate?

After all I have said, I am going to Leeds next Feb to see him for my 40th. Also going to a warm up gig for this tour in Clitheroe next month and will be seeing him do a talk at Salford Lads Club with Mani, next month. ??

Saw these at Northside fest on the back of Now Wave’s recommendation and was a bit disappointed. Was in middle of the day outdoors so hardly anyone there so maybe an off day though.

Here's a band I'd love to see at Glastonbury. Other Stage or even the Hell Stage would be great. Always a lot of fun and Benji is a great front man

YES! They ripped up Boomtown last year, it was great. Fantastic festival band.

Saw them again in Southampton earlier in the year and have loads of other gigs bought around those dates so not sure about this date though.

More Jarvis Cocker dates on the horizon. Maybe Jarv Is... is the title of the new album? Has anyone ever met him?

Not sure how big his solo stuff is these days but maybe a potential Park headliner or something? Could definitely see him playing if he has new stuff out.

Given that the Park is his natural habitat it seems a natural fit. Only danger would be it being flooded by people turning up expecting Pulp stuff.

It does actually. I don't think there'd be that many that couldn't be drawn away by anything on larger stages so are hoping for a Pulp-heavy set, but even with those folk I think he'd win them over.

    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
    • I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…
    • Maybe some right wing leaders like Meloni are just playing to their base, like Reform have been here talking about them ending up at Calais.
    • Citizenship via investment programs basically work by saying if you invest this much in our economy (say buy a property worth x) then we will either grant you citizenship or residency with a route to it. The EU has rules on how low countries can set the bar. Montenegro was one of the easier ones to get and they've had to tighten it up.
