The state of the ground.

Hope it remains quite dry for the next few weeks as all the traffic going around the site to set it up can churn up the ground, especially the main routes through the site

The other key period where you really hope rain holds off is Tuesday night through to Wednesday at the start of the festival; and Friday morning when the main stages open.

Gates get muddy really quickly on Wednesday if it rains and setting up tents in the rain is horrible. Equally heavy rain on Friday morning really turns the once lovely grass by the main stages into mush and they never really recover

Netweather are predicting 21mm of rain next Friday, this sounds like rather a lot so close to the fest...

It's next Friday. I wouldn't worry about it. If it still says 21mm next Wednesday, we can talk.

Edit: congratulations on your 500th post!

The June Monsoon will arrive later this week I think. Luckily it's not too much of a monsoon, but certainly a deep area of low pressure for this time of year will bring bands of rain across the uk. After that it looks like settling down a bit with sunshine and showers probably the most likely scenario. Still too far out to have any idea what the weather at the festival will be like.

Met office long range suggesting the unsettled spell may settle down mid-late June and there's even a small signal for a blocked weather pattern later June.

I think we're all scarred after last year, every chance of rain makes me think of the horrific conditions last time, but really that was very unusual.

hmm that's not good news for Field Day tomorrow

As it looks field day has an absolutely ginormous indoor stage, like a massive hangar! Wouldn't worry too much about rain. I've been on the site a few times recently and it looks sick.

i'm in Bristol this weekend so I won't be there but have fun!

yeah they've made a  huge new indoor stage to host aphex twin, nicholas jaar, moderat and a few others, looks sick. More concerned about the rest of the site but looks like it's gonna be dry overnight and tomorrow which is great news.

Thanks man!!

Rained biblically for about 20 minutes in west London. Everwhere dry now.

Mud cannot survive above 21 degrees. It will be dry by tomorrow lunch.

Correct- laboratory tests confirm that mud dies at 21 degrees
