I don't think that's what she meant. She said "One I've mentioned isn't confirmed but has been approached", meaning "the act I've mentioned as replacing Paul McCartney isn't confirmed but has been approached".

It's a solo artist. She said 50% chance it's a woman because she'd "already said too much" and didn't want to give any more clues.

I'll be completely honest I'm just pissing about.

She reckons whoever has been asked might say no, surely the only people who’d say no are those who would want more money or are lined up to play 2020

Reads more like the person doesn’t normally do festivals

Dental vouches for her, and he is the number one seeded efests user.

Woah don’t put this at my door!

I don’t think it’s any different to any other Glastonbury fan repeating what they’ve heard about the festival - which is what a lot of this website is about. Nahmsayin?

BST are announcing this week according to the other thread. If he's on there then we're safe.

I still doggedly refuse to believe he's bailed.

Are we assuming he's doing BST and Glastonbury then? Could he not have pulled out of G because BST offered him more money or something?

I’ve spent the past few months stubbornly trying to convince my girlfriend that missing Paul McCartney at Glastonbury would be one of the worst decisions of her life. She’s only just come round so I’ll be pure livid if he’s not even playing now

someone just suggested in the BST thread that he'd be announced in December (if he's being announced) as that would be after his tourdates - which makes sense.

So I'm guessing an announcement this week will be for something different.

Has there been a reason given for Macca (potentially) pulling out?

It would seem strange for this to happen unless it was something health related which as far as I can see doesn't seem to be an issue.

the only thing which would make sense currently was if he'd decided to extend his US tour - so i'm guessing there'll be new dates for that appear if he's pulled out of Glasto.

That's my thinking, if it was health related he wouldn't be playing 100-odd dates between now and next June.

It's quite possible he's got an offer on the table to stay in the US longer.

I'd hope that he's not driven by money enough to turn his back on a deal to headline the festival in order to play more dates over the pond instead.

He's not short of a bob or two let's face it and it would strike me as a bit immoral.

    • No dramas man, I just like to follow others journeys as well. Get the inspiration, give out inspiration and the outdoors is the clear the head place to do it. I'm heading out for a easy trail run today I think, 10k- 10 mile we'll see how we go. I've got a half marathon in October I'm well unprepared for hahs
    • The Cheap Thrills at Mountford Hall, Liverpool.    They've been around for a while and have built up a large local following. Last night was their biggest yet, at a sold out 2,200 capacity venue.    It was a big old joyous, indie singalong from start to finish, the band clearly having the time of their lives. The debut album is out next month and they seem to be going down well on the festival circuit, maybe their time has finally come.   2 supports, I unfortunately missed Credits but the few songs they have on Spotify sound good, Americana vibes. The other was M60, reportedly Gary Neville's favourite band. If that's true, he's as clueless about music as he is football. To be fair, their sound was poor, maybe with a clearer sound they'd have been better but it was pretty dull.
    • I can see them all merging along with the Tory’s . Restore curently couldn’t muster enough candidates to be a viable option . I lasted 4 mins and couldn’t watch any more . Lowe is just dull along with racist
