I'm the leader of the Kendrick for Glasto headliner club, but I can't see him headlining Saturday or Sunday. The dream seems to be on ice for now. rzwodezwo
Obama headlined SXSW and surely he's free next year
Badlands
Unless its a curveball then we're probably looking at Foo's and Sheeran. I'd have handled one of those on their own with the Roses but both is a cruel cruel blow!
sisco
Only headliner I was remotely interested in was The Stone Roses, so I'm very gutted right now.
brettredmayne
Probably it for th Stone Roses ever playing Glastonbury, most be asking for crazy cash
StevieGed
I've got the hump that they're just carefully chosen words by Emily. The 'and' being such word, if she'd have said Daft Punk or TSR, then it would be much more solid to rule the two out, but that to me sounds more like the two of them both headlining a night each. But I am quite the optimist and my glass is always, always half full
pjadnoo
How about Gorillaz? Not touring at the moment, but they've got new music coming out soon, and Damon Albarn seems a fairly regular Glasto-goer. I'd rather they didn't (barely lasted a song in 2010 before rushing to see the amazing Flaming Lips), but they're probably big enough(?) CaledonianGonzo
I think we need to see more movement from Foo and the other, lesser Foos to assume that they're a given. One jokey wee show does not a full comeback imply.

Ged Devereux
Roses removed from rumours page! I'm still hopeful it's been mistaken and she meant it's not both, it's not like she could say one of them isn't true
FloorFiller
As far as acts we know are active/have new material next year and would make a great Sunday headliner, U2 are sticking out to me the most right now, although if this IOW stealing the Roses thing is true then I guess we've just gotta hope Glastonbury had a solid back up ready

That’s not true. I don’t know where that came from.” Read more at http://www.nme.com/news/daft-punk-stone-roses-not-headlining-glastonbury-2017-1684610#ViGDllbhkWVZAkZy.

StevieGed
Okay I was rash and commented whilst still on page 113, I'm now 4 pages deeper, and there is absolutely nothing left in this glass of mine Edited October 20, 2016 by StevieGed
SwedgeAntilles
Helluva day. One headliner confirmed, one which looked like a stick on ruled out. It's not even November.
Winslow Leach
It's beginning to feel a lot like endlessly analysing Emily's smallest utterances for clues-mas.

I'm just struggling to think who else there is unless they go with a total unexpected re-booking like The Who (although I guess U2 fall right in to that category). Still a long way to go and lots of tours/albums to be announced. Gutted about the Roses but nice to stir things up, at least for the sake of this thread

jparx
I'm disappointed TSR are out of the picture as well, but those quotes are very emphatic. There really isn't much room for interpretation. The dream's over.
Calvin Klein
Bon Iver should headline.
AM91
EE says about "cramming two years worth of music into next year". Possibly a headliner with an album out in late '17 and previewing new songs from it
sedra
Bonus for this thread tho is that we can all speculate once more about headliners again:) I suspect Ed is a goer but not sure who else might be. We have the established British indie rock band Fri, a possible British pop relatively newcomer Sat and probably a US band on Sunday?
