I mean yeah I can afford it, but that's kind of not the point really. Would have happily donated cash to the festival in some kind of crowdfufner but I thought I'd paid for a "product" here.

More annoying is I don't know whether to give up and do something else or just sit here like a lemon.

Drift have said there'll be an update shortly so hopefully the limbo will be over soon.

What the fuck are they doing ...... over and hour now , I even tried to buy another code and that fucked up as well

I did consider that. Thanks for the heads up.

There's a cinema about 20 mins away that is apparently showing it but they hadn't sold any tickets as far as I could see and wouldn't be surprised if they noped out. Couldn't drink there though.

In fairness, it's been a terrible two years for the festival (as it has for everyone, of course) and I feel so sorry for Emily, she seemed very proud of what they had planned, they've tried to do something positive here and been let down by apparent ineptitude of the streaming company. The Eavis family and everyone associated will be gutted. No consolation for anyone wanting to watch it, of course. Just a little perspective.

Aye I do feel for them, and the technical aspects aren't in their control but like... it's 2021, there have been a lot of livestreamed gigs and events. We have twitch which gathers much much much more viewership and doesn't fall over. It's not as if they're attempting a new frontier of entertainment, this stuff has already been perfected to some degree.

I hope Driift give away at least some of what they would have made from this to Oxfam, Water Aid, Greenpeace etc…

They should give it all up. They’re ruining Glastonbury’s reputation

Pretty sure any profit they might have been making off it has just evaporated in non-delivery penalty charges back to GFL.
