Scott is wrong though. While the Pyramid does finish a bit later, Macca will have at least 2 full hors and starting about the same time so it's a full on clash.

I'm pretty sure by the time they're done he'll have around 4 hours of Hey Jude left to finish

In 2019 the Saturday night Acoustic headliner (Hawkwind) kicked off 5 minutes ahead of The Killers. Perhaps given it's Macca they've surrendered, knowing a fair chunk of their core crowd will want to see a Beatle and are sticking The Waterboys on earlier.

But the geezer has said 9:30

There's precedent for surrendering - the famous example being during the Stones when The Rabbit Hole just made up a band name and then got caught out when it turned out that a band by that name really existed and thought they'd been booked.

But that'd either mean that he's wrong on the time, or there's some confusion and 9:30 is actually the finish time.

Or he's going off year's ago when I believe the Pyramid did go a later?

It did - but, only by half an hour and it's been on the current curfew since 2010. Either way, if he's got his own time correct and it's the start time, then they're clashing with Macca either entirely or close to it.

    • I take my lad to the local non-league club - Royston Town - not he's 13, he goes there with his mates and he plays in their youth team.  Not many people there - lucky if they hit 800, but lovely supporting the town team.  I've took him to some league clubs too - Cambridge and Stevenage are great to visit and not crazy prices - his first one was Cambridge v Sunderland (I'm a mackem) when they were in league 1, so a great experience for him.  The England matches aren't too bad value either at Wembley - it's just the parking that stings you. Problem is, he's a City fan, so at some point have to bite the bullet and get him up to the Ethiad. Have done the tour, but he'd love a proper game....my wallet, less so!
    • Said it before, but if Annie Lennox is available next year, then it would be an absolute crime to instead book anyone else. She's rare and legendary enough that you drop all other plans.
    • I was having a tired day, my apologies 😂
    • I was there with Oxfam too! I got earlies so it was probably me who registered you on arrival 😀
    • Slightly unexpected, but Shambala is discounted on TfG.   Works out at about £215 after discount which is about a third off.
