Chrisp1986
Has anyone got any plans on where they will head instead? My last festival was Glastonbury 2017. I turn 35 tomorrow. I have been to 22 weekend camping festivals. These stats show how much I miss the festivals that I live and work for. Is there any that may be doable at all? Willing to travel anywhere including possibly Europe if it increases the chances.
jannybruck
All Points East, probably. End of August, day ticketed festival, major city so no transport issues – seems like the odds for that sort of thing are pretty good.

northernringo
I haven't been to a festival since I was about 16, just over 10 years ago. (It was an awful festival too, basically a party in a field in NI). Hopefully will get to Sunflower Fest in the summer if things have eased by July time. Punksnotdead
I've got my rollover ticket for End of the road in September - keeping everything crossed it's still on!
Obiginnaw
I'm booked in for lost village in August, it's pretty small so i'm about 75% confident that will go ahead As for the actual glastonbury date i'll go to meet up with the people i was meant to go with and just get in a sorry state with them (providing we can at least have groups of 6 by then)
AlexOvd
I would go to Primavera Sound in case it's postponed to September/October as in on begging of June I doubt will take place.

Beerqueen
May go to Beardy Folk which is scheduled for same weekend as Glasto would have been. Folk isn't really my thing but it's local, my friend is going, it serves Hobsons beer and they actually managed to run it last September and it was sooooo good to be at a festival. Being so tiny it was so easy and relaxing too. Two alternating stages, no stress over who to see!

ShakeyCrash
Boomtown, Greenman (already booked and both in august) and seriously tempted by booking end of the road (September). If all points East does go ahead suspect they won’t need to give away free tickets this year and I’ll definitely go for at least one of the days. vintagelaureate
I've got Boomtown booked for mid August... Expect we will know by Easter(ish) it that's going ahead. I wanted Green Man too but my kids and wife won't let me do two weekends in a row! Edited January 21, 2021 by vintagelaureate

Leyrulion
Boomtown- gotta be 50/50 now Parklife- more confident as it's a day thing. June 26th- probably LeyrulionFest in an Air BnB with the group. 🤣
Chrisp1986
Anyone been to Boomtown? Good for kids at all? Seen they have a kids area. Just not sure on this not knowing line up idea, previous line ups look OK but there is that risk it won't be great and wife will only go people she generally 'knows'....... steviewevie
I'd love Bluedot to be on, great festival that is fairly local to me, great line up, and some sciencey stuff to pretend to be interested in for one weekend. But, it probably won't be. Failing that, GreenMan. But, can't see that being on either. Maybe one day things will be on later in the year...New Order in Heaton Pk? Copperface
End of the Road followed the next weekend by Bearded Theory. Too old for that shit. Not confident they'll be on though, but they do have the best chance of the larger festivals.

They're refocusing on the immersive element and being smaller which could be great for kids. However I've never heard it mentioned really when people talk about family friendly festivals. DarrenVonBoathook
Roll over tickets for Bearded Theory which they have pushed back to September, fingers crossed that we are all in a good enough position for that to happen. dotdash79
We have bearded theory, bluedot and Shambala booked. don’t expect bluedot to happen, but expect other two to happen.

Given that it’s before Glastonbury on a small island that needs a lot of people packed into a ferry to reach... I’d say not.
Chapple12345
Hopefully going to Latitude at the end of July, as its Festival Republic event I suspect Melvin may have other plans for it if it can't go ahead as normal e.g. make it weekend festival with no camping like TRNSMT Edited January 21, 2021 by Chapple12345
